I saw many of these during my days as an army brat in Africa, Germany what great wagons! I just love those old wagons, Antars etc my old man was 3rd Sprockets so had tons of opportunities to see these things in action.

I have loved these behemoths since I first saw them as a little kid. Hills of Botley, in Hampshire, had a couple of them.

Scammell I remember my grandad telling me he drove those in Army. He said just driving them was bloody hard work.

I can imagine..... big truck with no power steering. Great looking vehicles though.

Guys that is turbo charged it's a diesel, the side of the engine has a Cummins shaped C but it just might be part of the casting that looks like a C. Most likely it's a Rolls Royce Eagle diesel. Check it out

Those two are Cummins powered. First one I'm sure is 'Forceful', second one is 'Devils Kazoo' (due to the noise of the Jake Brake)
But two of our group members also have Explorers which are powered by RR Eagle Diesels.

All these MAN trucks that are so fantastic learned from uk 🇬🇧 SCAMMEL. they were ahead of there time. It makes me wonder why these companies didn't survive.
