Prior to your question, I was merely aware of the fact that both spellings are mentioned in many Bible translations. Based on what I read on Christianity.com, "Immanuel" is typically found in the Tanak (The Old Testament), which is "recorded in Hebrew & Chaldean Aramaic." And "Emmanuel" is typically found in the Brit Hadasha (The New Testament), which is "recorded in Greek"; thus the differences in the spellings. An the meaning of this name is so incredibly wonderful and special.... "GOD with us!" Shalom!
