Always wondered about this dilation: is it Miller's planet's required orbital speed, in stable(?) orbit of Gargantua that causes the dilation? Or is it just proximity [to black hole] alone that causes it? Not sure if that makes sense. Just curious! Great vid, thanks both 🤯

The way I get it, the proximity alone does it. Having a vector would modify it.
