I was wondering what the stocking rate was down in the Zarks. I figured 1.33 to 1.5 acres per cow/calf pair, but that was in Andrew Co. At 2 or more acres you could usually take a late cutting of hay off of it. Of course, that stocking rate was dependent on timely and adequate rains.
I often wonder how Kildeer survive. They seem to pick the most dangerous spots to lay their eggs. We have had them build in our driveway several times.
You have got a great bunch of cows. The right size, long tailed, straight backed, good udders, deep gutted enough to make a living off of grass. I'm afraid many Angus breeders red or black are chasing carcass epd's to suit the packers and forgetting that it takes many traits to make really good cattle.
❤

I keep mine at 2-3 acres per cow/calf pair, but that includes a few, to several, acres of forested area, also.
@@JERRYCROWNOVER Ah, how'd I miss that. Its right in your video.

I have often wondered the same thing-yet they seem to survive and thrive.
