Random question, but I'm hitting with the BLX tour, which I think is similar specs to the Wilson Burn 95. Any thoughts what you'd move onto after that racquet?
Good question... I never was the one who switched rackets a lot. Once I found what really clicked with me I tend to stay with it and maybe just test different strings. I know the ultra series after the burn is almost identical to the 95 burn (maybe just a paint job)? But I haven’t tried enough rackets to see which I’d switch to. Any recommendations?
@@gutzpose I'm not sure to be honest. I'm going to probably spend the next couple of months demoing racquets. There's a few Yonex frames I think I'll try (Vcore 95 and 98, maybe Ecore98 as well) and I think I'll try out the Prostaff 97L One of the leading contenders though (although its not possible to demo so I'm a bit reluctant) is a customized Angell TC 97. www.angelltennis.com/product/custom-v3-tc97-16-x-19/ There's a 95 inch version as well but if I were to go this route I might try the 97. Not sure yet haha. I'm clearly overthinking this.
@@fretstain I got to try a couple yonex rackets don’t remember exact models. But they usually feel of good quality. Had a lot more flex and spin abilities than the burn... yeah I would go a bit bigger than 95. The burn 95 cv somehow really has a huge sweet spot that makes it feel like 98
@@gutzpose Yea, I find the BLX tour almost has a bigger feeling sweetspot than my prostaff 97. I tried making the switch this year and now I'm second guessing myself like crazy haha. Cursed to dabble in racquets forever.
@@fretstainsorry it’s been a while but I wanted to revisit and see if you changed rackets? And if so which one? To answer your original question. I think if I were to switch, Im not sure which model, but one of the technifibre rackets felt pretty good actually! The burn is great for serves and groundies. Volleys isn’t the strong suite but still not too difficult.
Interesting review. Solinco Confidential gets a 42 on the power chart from Tennis Warehouse, and it's extremely dead based on my experience. Ice Code, which offers more power than all of the Solinco Polyester strings, gets a 62 on the power chart. Confidential offers less pop than Tour Bite and Hyper G.
Really that’s really interesting to see the power chart and stiffness. For me solinco confidential feels the best as far as power, control, pocketing etc.
I never tried the pure strike tour. But confidential as a string has been wonderful. The only downside is after 2-3 weeks or more the tension and feel loses… but the first week or two is fantastic
Good hitting Jason and great review !!!
Thanks dean!! Much appreciate it and you

Is the Confidential good at 56.5lb on the main?
Definitely!
I string it w full confidential at 54-56
Have you tried an hybrid with these two ?
I have not. Would be interesting to.. but I have since strictly been using solinco confidential.
@@gutzpose ok. Thx

one question, what do you feel the different about razor code, confidontial and pure strike tour? i wanna get one from those three

Your partner has the most annoying grunt wth
🤣
Sounds you'are a playing a revved up Ferrari-engine.
Lol first hearing that comparison! Usually it’s a lawn mower or chain saw 😂
You look like you’re off balance on your shots
Thanks for the feedback! Is there any shots in particular I am more off-balance on more?
