Hey Minasan♡ I hope you like this new style♡If I a lot of people liked this, I will keep on making more and more♡ If you want me to make more videos like this, please give me a thumbs-up♡ I hope you can feel peace watching this somehow!
Well first and foremost let me tell you sth you r stunning boo and besides I like your videos I don't know Japanese cause my mother tongue is Spanish and I am from Nicaragua peace ✌️ take care
Understanding words and small phrases is so weird, its like your brain is trying to put together the things you do understand to try and make sense of what you don't, still I'm very happy that I was able to understand some stuff at all, thanks
Really like the Japanese vlog style. I watched the Auckland one recently and challenged myself to watch without subtitles and then watched again with subtitles and was mostly there. I had been searching TH-cam for this sort of content but had no luck. Any japanese channels would be above my level of Japanese, but generally something along the lines of "look I am here, I ate this food, I am going to do X verb" is my sort of level and what I was looking for. I think this one was above my level of Japanese but I got some bits. About to watch again, but all very good listening practice. If you have time please make some more!
Thank you for recording this amazing tour of the Fushimi Inari Shrine! It's heartwarming to relive my memories when I last visited in November 2019. Got there around 5 AM and there were a few people already, but still nowhere near as empty as in your video. The brisk morning walk was incredible and the entire area was so serene. Kyoto is simply an extraordinary place.
When I was in middle school I watched Memoirs of a Geisha and that's what got me interested in Japanese Culture and eventually the language. Thank you for the video! I am still a beginner in Japanese but I was able to grasp most of it using context clues and a few vocab words.
Thank you so much Miku for making these videos. I am nearing the end of my first year studying Japanese and it's been so fun, but sometimes I get discouraged. Your videos always inspire me to keep going. Thank you for the wonderful listening practice and the grammer! =)
I'm really grateful that the first time I visited Fushimi Inari in 2007, it was just like this - quiet, empty and serene. I got there late afternoon and only saw two other people, an American couple on their honeymoon. Huge contrast from visiting again in 2012 and 2016 - it was so crowded it was unpleasant.
I'm happy that after only 1 year I am able to understand most of the japanese you're speaking. I always thought I didn't know much but after watching this it helped me to realize that I know quite a bit! I'd love to see more of these videos as they are very nice immersion.
Thank you for this video Miku sensei! I went to Fushimi Inari Shrine two years ago. It was a little busy but the atmosphere was really nice.
Miku, thank you so much for these kinds of videos! I have been learning Japanese for 4 years but I am still afraid every time I have to listen (without subtitles) but these videos really help with that. I understood almost every word too, so that makes me very happy. The video is done super well and I did feel like I was immersed in the language and Japan itself. Ah, this really makes me miss Japan! I want to return to it someday when I'm fluent. You have a very pleasant voice and this video gave me a lot of ASMR, I could listen to you speaking for hours. Rest well and keep it up!! Thank you for motivating me to learn Japanese even harder
Yes, this is really a great method! Esp after i discovered that utube gives japanese captions! When i watch stuff with english subtitles, i think my ears turn off & i don't actually hear much, and rely too much on the english. It's too much multitasking for my brain to hear one language & read another. But with the japanese captions, i recognize some words in audio and some in writing and they reinforce each other, so i end up understanding more content. And thank you for visiting all these tourist sites during the pandemic. Even though I'm so envious, it's still wonderful to vicariously experience old japanese culture in peace & quiet. :D
Only picked up a handful of words, but that's not surprising. Another nice video and a huge contrast to the usual crowds if you watch travel videos about this shrine pre-covid! Thank you!
I visited fushimi inari a few years ago and there were lots of tourist, i would love to visit again to experience that peaceful walk and just appreciate the surroundings of this sacred place. I recently went to kamakura and visited shrines/temples, just like there there’s a few tourists. It’s a mixed emotion, sad because the businesses around are not doing well but this time I appreciate more the peacefulness and the nature of this places. I loved your videos, please do more, I’m improving my listening skills and increasing my vocabulary. The effort you’re putting in this work is really great. Otsukaresamadeshita!
I'd LOVE to see more of these videos! I understood the gist of some sentences in the middle when you said you had a lot of walking to do and was glad it was smooth, a tiny bit about the ice cream thing you said you wanted to eat and then showed, could read the text of the place being like a horror movie; recognized the まえに you mentioned in one of your videos, and understood a whole 2 simple sentences at the end when you talked about the green through the gates! Not much but better than nothing. I have to remind myself I know more than I think! I'm proud I got that much. Thank you so much!
Thank You for showing such beautiful video. I had my trip canceled But this video is the fuel into the fire. To hopefully go to Japan for the first time.
I love this style of video because I can tell you are making an effort to talk slowly and emphasize particles so that beginners/intermediate users are able to understand everything much easier. Please keep making these because I have been looking for something exactly like this xD
Also I went to Fushimi Inaari at night and would not recommend lol super terrifying, a ton of spiders, wild animals all over, and you trip on everything. If you want to go at night to beat the crowds (as we did) bring a flashlight or something and hiking gear.
それは本当の魔法です!I've been there last November. It was already in the twilight and not so crowded, but still not comparable to the views you show us! I want to be there again. Right now. Your new videos are inspiring. Go on. And have a good rest. ^_^
I love this style of video. Listening practice is fun. I really like the on-location videos where I can learn about the Japanese culture. Gambatte kudasai!
I was raining and the busloads of chinese visitors gave up 2/3 of the way up when I visited in 2018. It was very quiet for the rest of the way to the top. The Inari shrine at the top is a bit underwhelming but the whole walk is highly recommended.😊
I really tried to understand and I think that was a good practice. I'm gonna rewatch it 😆 Thank you! Yes, I would like to see more videos like this, and when people talk to you, even in simples things like ordering or buying something... it's really helpful ♥️
i do understand more than i thought actually, but its really tiring. I remember when it was the same with english, so i guess these kind of videos are really useful for that. Thanks.
After immersing in a lot of japanese videos and drama (without English subtitles because that doesn't really help) I was able to understand 80% of what you're saying! Even though this isn't meant for natives and slowed down for learners to understand. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be able to comprehend the majority of movies and shows. I can feel myself slowly getting there!
I've been watching your channel for a while now as I love Japan and I'm learning Japanese. I really love those types of video. I felt particularly nostalgic watching this one as I went to Fushimi Inari in spring 2017, obviously it was much busier but it was still such a wonderful experience. My trip to Japan this year has been cancelled due to COVID (T_T) but I'm really looking forward to visit again your beautiful country. ^_^
I also like the style of the video. Sometimes in your other videos (e.g. the one in Kyoto last year when you lost your phone) I found there was a bit too much music and I was fast-forwarding to the speaking, but in this case it was fine. You speak clearly and there's lots of useful vocabulary. I find that the most useful videos you make are the ones subtitled in both English and Japanese - but I appreciate that this involves a huge amount of work, and sometimes something more informal like this gives us an extra challenge. Thank you very much for the great work you're doing, it's really helping me and I have a special notebook called 'Miku' in which i note down everything I've learned from you.
That was a nice listening practice! I appreciate you a lot! We've been here this year of February, before corona happens, there's not so much people when we went there, but I wish I was also to feel the serene atmosphere like this when we went there 😅Can't wait for everything to go back to normal. Take care as always!
Loving your videos and their contents, Miku sensei! Keep it up! Reminiscing my memories in Kyoto. I was there in Oct of last year with lots of tourists. 😊😊😊
Thank you, videos like this are amazing for the language immersion and you speak clearly so even absolute beginners can catch on. Also my study trip to Hiroshima University this semester got cancelled unfortunately, so I'm up for any immersive contact with Japanese until next semester, I hope :D
I am hoping for more videos like this Miku. I saw fresh, nature, history, belief and one more important thing is no make-up face in this video. I really like and appreciate your effort, Thanks.
I love these videos. I've missed Japan and being able to travel back. I also love learning more about the culture and history. It's also a great challenge for my compression skills. Please keep up the great work!

Living japan hokaiddo
More videos like this, good stuff !! Very nice. Man Kyoto look like a ghost Town compared to the time I went years ago.
Really really great idea for japanese immersion... Thank you very much.. please please make more like these...

Thanks for the tour. Amazing to see it so quiet.

I almost understand what you’re saying! I am glad. Thank you for this Miku sensei. Take a good rest always.🙂

I was just at this shrine in December. The whole place was filled with Chinese tourists in kimono. It's so surreal to see it this empty.
I was there exactly one year ago... it feels so nostalgic now...
Listening to your videos & duolingo have truly got me understanding even without subs!

Thank you so much Miku for making these videos. I am nearing the end of my first year studying Japanese and it's been so fun, but sometimes I get discouraged. Your videos always inspire me to keep going. Thank you for the wonderful listening practice and the grammer! =)
This level is perfect for intermediate students. I can understand almost all and it’s enjoyable. Also learning new words and phrases. Thank you!
I am Loving these new videos from you lately. Arigato gozaimasu.
I will watch these videos over and over. Thank you

Thank you for this video Miku sensei! I went to Fushimi Inari Shrine two years ago. It was a little busy but the atmosphere was really nice.
Also 5:23 the music here is Maplestory - Time Temple but sounds like a chillstop/lo-fi remix
Sounds similar to Ryuichi Sakamoto's 'Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence'
@@aaronvaughn1954 ahh i see what you mean, its similar.
take a listen to this

I've been to this shrine quite a few times. It's beautiful everytime I go. Never seen it this empty before though.
This format is awesome, very good job :) I also really liked the part from 6:15 onwards with double subtitles.
I'm soo jealous. I was in Kyoto a year ago and it was so busy, especially Fushimi Inari
I am hoping for more videos like this Miku. I saw fresh, nature, history, belief and one more important thing is no make-up face in this video. I really like and appreciate your effort, Thanks.

I love this place. Great video! 😀
your so fun😍
followed you in IG and FB too.
i'm a big fan from Philippines😊💖
I only Understand few words, yet you speak slow and so clear🤗
I supposed to be in Kyoto in April but had to cancel my trip to Japan. This will do for the time being. Thank you:)
Me encantaría poder viajar a Kyoto algún día, ¡es tan bonito y parece tan pacífico!

most of the time I have to digest what im hearing and piece it together in english. But now I can understand the whole sentence, just that words I still havent learnt yet is like a blank in the sentence.
"たくさん 人 が いる" shows 1 person walking by. 🤣
I'll definitely go back next year! 😢
Always bring your umbrella! :)
Oh no these are great! Thank you.
my brain understanding half of the things miku says but also watching the whole video and wanting more even though i cant fully comprehend it hahaha
Thnk you Miku sensei..
Thanks for this vedio
I struggle to understand very much even with the subtitles, but if I keep going back over it, I will get more of the meaning no doubt.
soon i will you there sensei 🥰 that's a beautiful place.
I want to go to kyoto!! While there is only few people visiting their shrine😭😭 but right now okane tarinai..
