Sorry folks, but in the US, 95% of what you find is trash, 4% is interesting but worthless, and 1% is valuable...but gold coins and diamonds??? Nope. I go out at least 4 full days a month, and have been for years... About twice a year I'll find a nice piece of gold jewelry, maybe a few really nice coins now and then... but mostly historical items and a LOT of junk. If you are considering getting into metal detecting because of what you see on this channel, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. You aren't going to strike it rich. Most of what you're watching here is someone who is view harvesting by seeding impossibly rare and valuable finds. Metal detecting is more about the hunt, and touching history... while enjoying the outtdoors. It's not about getting rich. If you can't get excited by a lead mini-ball, or half a rusted belt buckle, or a button from a comfederate uniform, you're going to get bored quick. Because those are the real treasures. If you're lucky, you might find a steel penny, a few silver half dollars, and Morgan silver dollars. Or if you're extremely lucky, a Liberty Head Nickel, or a 1933 S-G Double Eagle.
