We’re with you, Simon. Just remember you also need to address the reasons you are prone to self sabotage. My friend’s sister had the surgery, never addressed the underlying issues, and “ate” straight through the surgery. She’s bigger now than ever. Good luck!
You have a huge Clone Trooper army of love and support coming your way for sure! 💖 You'll do great. I have a good feeling about this (subtle Star Wars reference, lol). Take good care, my friend! And I will most definitely watch your reaction to the last Mandalorian episode of the season tomorrow. 😁
Keep busy busy busy, and avoid the situations where you were most tempted to snack. I have a lot of self-control problems with eating, so I empathize completely, but I believe you can and will do this.
Keep it up Simon, it’s going to suck for a while, but will get easier once your body and mind get used to the new routine. And give away all your food to your neighbours and/or charity. Having an empty kitchen can help avoid cheat meals.
A few years ago, I weighed 214 (I’m 5’8”) and I became pre-diabetic so I knew I needed a change. I have my most success when I’m militant about a diet, sometimes losing 50lbs and have since yo-yo’d between 170-190lb since. So, I’m following your success story, which I can relate to being very hard. You’re going to kick ass and take names.
1:28 damn 800 calorie!? That was one of the options? And I’ve never heard of a milk diet. Though be careful with the calcium and fat and potassium levels as those can greatly affect your body and heart depending on the brand of milk

Yogurt in UK has sugar in it? The regular yogurt in Turkey is the sour one.
