I am a student from El Salvador, and I got the blessing to get a scholarship to study in the USA. I have to say. Thomas Bergensen captured all the details that you feel when going to another country to follow your dream. There are moments of joy, wonder, adventure and sunny days, but they are an equal number of trials and sadness (perfectly portrayed by Missing Home 26:18). All I can say is thank you Thomas, you have portrayed in 44 minutes what 2 years of my adventure have been. I am looking forward for your next album!

OMG!!!!!!!! I am 65 yrs old. I grew up listening to the likes of Arthur Fiedler, Henry Mancini, Stanley Black and The London Philamonic Orchestra, etc. This arrangement reminds me of all of them and listening to this phenomenal music with my father. Please keep it coming. Beautiful, outstanding!!!!

    Dear Thomas Bergersen,
I'm so glad that in this world, there's a person as talented as Beethoven and Mozart and Chopin etc. And that person is you. I sat the entire 44 minutes hearing this wonderful piece, and it felt like watching a movie. Thank you Thomas Bergersen for giving me such inspiration. You've completely changed my life. I've never experienced a greater 44 minutes of my life listening to music. I just wanted to say thank you and continue to inspire others. Your music will always be my relief, my guide, my inspiration. You're the BEST. Keep up the good work!!
    God bless AMERICA and TFSH!!!

Ditto the inspiration. When I got back into music after a 16 year hiatus, instead of doing my usual "rock"-ish stuff, I wanted to work with [sampled] orchestra, entirely inspired by Two Steps and Thomas. Thanks Two Steps, I'm having a blast (and it's a great Cvd19 quarantine activity)!

This. Is. Beautiful! So American in sound! It touched my heart and soul. This is music that someone like John Williams would compose, but Bergersen is NORWEGIAN!! This is by far my favorite TSFH work. So ambitious and American in sound. Someone should make a film surrounding this music. No dialogue. Just music.

If you look at the text of the cover, it says "American Dream". But the word "Dream" stands under "ican", so you can read "I Can Dream".
Coincidence, or a deep hidden meaning?
Edit: of course this doesn't need to be true, it is a bit far fetched and highly coincidence. I saw it somehow, and I completely understand if you think this comment is overrated and/or cringe. But it still is something that could be a nice touch to a wonderfull musicpiece like this one.

I agree with your sentiments about Mr. Bergersen, however, I find your lack of confidence in the world to be quite alarming. The world is greater now than it has ever been in all of human history. We should be grateful that we live in our current time because a hundred years ago, people didn't have the resources and opportunities that we have right now. We should remain positive as best as we can because our futures will inevitably lead to our children's futures, as well as other people's futures too. This is one of the most important aspects of our lives and should be instilled in all of us.

It seems to me that this album was released in such a divisive time for America because it is meant to serve as a reminder on what the U.S.A. was founded on, and that those principles should never be forgotten. The country has never been perfect, and it never will be, but it can still be the light of hope in the darkest of times. This album reminds us that it is still worth believing in the American Dream--so that all who seek out happiness may find it.

Thank you, Mr. Bergersen. It is because of your art, first ignited from "Heart of Courage" that I have grown to live for music. Feeling chills for the first time, drawing out emotions that I didn't even know I had. It is an understatement to say that it is now my passion, as I strive to discover more through this medium of music about both myself and others.
This channel indeed receives many comments like this one. But please remember that I, and every other person with a like history of love/loss; a life, will be changed for the rest of our lives, and will be able to look back on each of our "hearts of courage" for the moment that moved all moments after. Because of this even will the world be moved; people are awesome marvels capable of what seems impossible, as you are testiment of.
I am no longer the child who saw through your lense the possibility of expressing the human experience. I am maturing now into a man who could become such only through that experience transforming me. I can't tell you thank you enough. May God bless you and Nick.

damn the violin at 32:25 makes me grin like an idiot every time. Massive brass and percussion section finishes and then that violin comes in, bold as can be and keeps the excitement going without skipping a beat. I love it.

I felt a disturbance in the Force, a shockwave as though the very earth was trembling...
I heard thousands upon thousands of people suddenly cried out as the tide grew ever taller...
And were suddenly in applause as the tide ebbed, leaving its masterpiece behind as a token like how waves leave behind shells, like how the ships of old left their passengers on American shores.
I heard the cries of the crowds as they begged the tide to return, to showcase even more the power of music and the stories they tell.
TSFH and Thomas are the wave, and they shall return as the tide leaves to gather together another display of power for the next showing.
Great job guys. E pluribus unum truly stands here!

I've always known that I couldn't live without music, but this... this made me realise that every cell in my body thrives off of music. These 44 mins made me realise what music can do to a person. If this piece of music had this effect on me, I wonder what effect it and other's similar to it would have on the billions of people in this world...
Mr.Thomas Bergersen, you have one magnificent soul and mind and I aspire to produce music like yours; the type of music that moves you not just mentally but also emotionally and physically.

I'm joining the exciment of this awesome Thomas' job & great TSFH step. The feeling of the "American Dream" is real & still alive. People trust & hope a better life, everyone deserves one, and as a human being, you only need courage, passion & will. Present times are heavy, savage & even painful... As I'm from a country with these dreams, seeing people leaving their home to reach there... It's poetic & fascinating (eventhrough, sample of unequality...).
So, TSFH deserves, at least, being appreciate all around the world, in much languages....
