@LurksLesssons They’re looking to expand the College Football Playoff Bracket to 16 teams by 2025 or 2026 so you might want to update this video when it does happen by then
I think by nature it’s almost impossible to have a true playoff and champion system. If a committee gets to pick who can play for the national title it is no longer a true playoff, it becomes an “invitational”.
You know it hit me earlier today of this same idea so killer suggestion! Already have the MLS recap ready to go but got some copyright things I have to clear up. Should be live tomorrow. You ROCK! 😎
I think the start of a 12 team playoff should create a new National Championship lineage. This being the year to determine the first true National Champion.
Good video, but this is the stupidest format I have ever seen. Nowhere else in the world do they make things so overly complicated. Not to mention the subjectivity of a panel choosing which teams make it instead of your results from games played throughout the year. College football is so dumb.
From the U.K. trying to follow college sports. Why is it so complicated lol…. Just get into one big seeded tournament? Football (soccer) in the uk we have the FA Cup where over 700 teams enter. Consists of around 14 rounds. The bigger teams (in your case the power teams) don’t get seeded until 9th round… that way literally every team in the country, no matter how small has a fair shot at winning. That committee seems like it could have so much bias, just imagine them colluding together to rig certain match ups. It’s entirely possible. Seems so subjective.
Well a 134 team tournament would take forever considering cfb teams don’t play more than 1 game per week. They can’t just do it by wins and losses either because some conferences are much better than others so some teams play much tougher schedules than others, so there has to be some subjectivity.
For 134 you’ll only need 8 rounds if you do the math. Each team playing once a week that’s only 8 weeks. College football season total is around 4 months. It’s definitely doable. In my opinion it would have to be separate to the conference games. In this format teams can compete in their own individual conferences in whatever schedule that works over the year but they will compete separately for the national championship. I.e. qualification not needed for national championship. It runs alongside conference games & everyone is just seeded based on strength of conference. Fair championship shot for all.
Which School do you pull for in College Football? 🏈
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets! Great explanation btw 👏🏼

ASU.
I loved this!! Can you use the Lions journey in the next example of your NFL videos?!
Great Job on Making the Video
for those saying it’s a bad format (i’m genuinely curious), what would be a better college playoff format?

You should do CFP recap just like what you do for NFL, NBA, NHL & MLB postseasons
(And also MLS)

You must be brain dead there won't just be 22 team with more wins then every body else. Simplicty doesn't equal better.
so each round will only be 1 game? like for example like how the MLB have 5 rounds best of 3 and in the WS they have 7 rounds best of 4
Yeah it's a single game
