The oil scavenge screens in the oil pan were particularly plugged with the rubber parts of the valve seal. Causing a oil level in the pan high enough for the rods to dip in it making a oily air to vent out on the ground. Keeping the oil tank full enough to feed the engine is adequate for a period of time. The oil level should be maintained at each stop..
Story time in the the truck was cool. I always loved the hand lettered sprint cars of the 70s and 80s. There was a guy named John Strummer in Ohio that always hand lettered some really awsome looking cars.
Use to stop by Doug Shaws shop in Newark Delaware he and his father had a real nice operation in later years I believe he settled in Southwest Florida and built some cars for Kenny Adams a former Southern PA Motocross champion and sprint car ace.
If the oil level was too high, when it gets hot it would expand and push it out the breather. It may be getting hot because the engine has a problem. Park it Bill. Head home and pull it tonight.
Could you in one of your videos about car maintenance talk about the rear brake rotor glowing red why some do some do not howto keep the heat away from fuel tank
Water would make the oil milky in color. Your oil looked good coming out. Problem with bearing clearance somewhere. As you know, the pump supplies the oil and the bearing clearance determines pressure. Crank, cam, push rods, etc. Better not run it and pull engine.
There was no water in the oil that leaked out. No foam present. Can't run without oil pressure. Pressure comes from bearing clearances as you know. Must be a problem Bill. Load her up. Could still fix this motor. Run it and probably not. BOOM!

sittin home today after made trip to port royal Saturday...not making the trip again. I'll be pissed if they run lol Edit: crap I'm 12 deep and the weather changed now for the port.
Never really understood with the cost of a 410 motor why more dudes dont run a dummy light, seen some use the type with the light in the gauge. I woulda used the go pro to watch the gauge during the race to go back and watch it and see whats goin on, not that it would help just as easy to send it out and have it looked at.
You're the reason why it's coming out of your tank like that when you're out on the throttle and it takes time for the oil pressure to build back up again
Looks like you are going to find a bad head gasket or a small crack in the block near the head gasket. Not fun chasing gremlins when they aren't obvious. Just wastes your time at the track and makes you frustrated.
The road trip stories of the old time sprint cars is just the best.
Love your whole program. Could watch and listen all day. Get em today.

Another upvote for the stories from the past, it's so great to hear about the old cars and the old times!
Hope the engine is OK! WillyB
Probably tiny particals of the valve seal plugged up the oil pressure guage.
Love the old lawnboy in the back corner
there is alot of sick people on here...but that is what makes it great.
Cool to see tanner and his guys ready to help. He’s always seemed like a good dude.
Thorson was lurking back there that dude is always ready to help someone
He’s great! AL and Thorson were our Speedweek buddies !

It was smart to check the oil pressure guage with air.
Never give up-YOU will do better!,NC ex PA boy!
The scavenge side of the pump has a restriction. If there was coolant in the oil it would be milky and foamy.
Keep on looking forward
tough figuring it out under the pressure of running or not
Also more engine oil needs to be added to replace the oil that is being blown out of the breather.
Have a great one, we will be flying jets at our flying field 😎🇺🇸

Your parents are the coolest ❤
Hi Billy
Never did really reveal what the speed gremlin was???? Get that motor freshened up!
I noticed same thing but I’m just assuming they were insinuating that the hurt engine is the speed gremlin

Oh no. More gear------------drivers are all the same. More gear will fix anything. Just kidding. As a driver, I would tell the owner I need more gear.
Have to feel the car like you do your body. Don't feel right get it fixed.
Your oil is just a joke...😅
Bottom line I’d pay you to teach me
