Openings come and go with popularity, for those of us who can't memorize 15 moves deep into all Openings it's good to know what's popular and what to focus on
I will practice hard. Having an amateur tournament this Sunday after many years of not playing. And know black opening is always great, since statistically you’re at lower advantage from get go while white has the opening advantage. And beginninger always like the feeling of starting and if you are master of black openings, you can do a “nice” gesture of letting them start with white. lol.

Another great video !!! - I already like the Rousseau Gambit (against Italian game) and the Schlieman Gambit (against the Spanish game) - I will study the Charlick Gambit Fot the momement against d4 I prefer to start by Nf6 - if BF4 (London system) --> c5 - if c4 (queens gambit) --> e4 to go to the Budapest Defense of the even more tricky Farajowicz gambit - if another move --> I can choose between g6 (for the solid Indian's game) or d6 and c6 (also solid but a bit more tricky Pirc Czech defense)
WARNING about Englund gambit style gambits (it also applies to ICBM). If your oponent plays f4 or f3 in the englund or e6/e5 in the ICBM , don't get greedy with your queen because they will then use the bishop they just freed to check your king and win your queen using their rook and you'll be in serious troubles.
Hi Igor - quick question: why wouldn't the knight (white ) take at e4? I understand you're trying to work the "fried" but why not quick take the knight and possibly even return to original position ?
Sir , in 2. Rousseau gambit , after attacking the knight by e4 pawn obviously white has to move his knight at its starting position . After that d5 is right but what happens if white plays d3 and offers a pawn exchange which is good because that black pawn is too much dangerous .
I've got my first game of my first ever chess tournament today representing my chess club. I will be playing black and I have been trying to learn the Kings indian however the opening doesn't seem to work for me. Then this video dropped and I believe it will help because you are a brilliant teacher. Thanks 😀 Edit: I won!!!
In traxler Gambit 3:51 playing Ng3 is the best counter attack in that position by giving a check to the king and if they capture you knight by pawn then we eventually win up a rook and queen by playing queen h1 and if opponent declines the knight and moves away we still get a rook
Thank you, I enjoy the chess lessons I personally am going to learn a few aggressive chess openings for white and counter attack for black I don’t like long drawn out, complicated games, but fast and aggressive checkmate gives me the most pleasure.👍
Tks for the vid. In englund gambit, if White plays 3Kc3 insteed Kf3 it's over for black because the queen is protected... is there a response to 3Kc3 ?
At first, I couldn't see how the Traxler Gambit has such a high win rate. Even if white does grab the bishop on f2, black can respond to Nxe4 with Ke3 (an easy move to find), then Qh5 is met with g6. As I explored it, I see that there are other potential traps for white to fall into along this line, though. Black's biggest problem comes if white knows to capture f7 with the bishop rather than the knight. After that, black will have a harder time. The Englund Gambit seems more likely from white playing "logical" moves, but when the knight is offered and Smirnov says, "In most cases, white does capture, ...," that isn't quite true. It is the most common move, but still only 32% of the time. 2/3 of the time, white will choose another move that is much more favorable for white. I can definitely see it working for players that are only a few hundred rating points, but I would be nervous to play this against a player 1000+, perhaps even 800+. Also, it is important to note that if white plays 3. Nc3 instead of Nf3, you can't go ahead with the gambit because the white queen is protected by the knight on c3. The Charlick Gambit looks much more appealing to me, largely because it isn't dependent upon white falling into traps, but I will have to figure out how best to deal with white's Nb5, threatening to trade his knight for the dark square bishop and isolating black's center pawn. The Rousseau is one I have been prepping for already. The edge is still to white if he knows the right moves, but black still can have a decent position against the best play. I haven't seen the Ponziani-Steinitz before. It looks interesting. I will look into it.
i agree there is no more potential in opening such as Englund gambit but the rousseau remains interesting and the last one too, the traxler seems too complex but i think it can works well because its not that much played
hi, i wonder what app are you using in discussing that? I mean you can freely move the pieces the way you want it when you are discussing. what app is that?
I am a newer player and have gone over number FOUR dozens of times . This is open for anyone to answer and please do. I find this a problem if king after being checked by K knight e4 moves to g2 ... and your down a bishop and eventually a rook, possibly a through in a trade of queens. How can this work??!! with the Ruso gambit it is the same thing. White instead of foolishly capturing the gambit pawn just continues the fried liver attack plan moving to Knight g4 ... I do not get it Igor..
Bro I just played the no 1 method after watching this right away and my opponent took my knight amd I don't know what to do anymore and lost. You didn't tell us what to do when knight takes knight
With englund gambit I like to play 2.dxe5, Nf6, 3.Nc3 Qe7 4.Bc4 Qg4+. Getting really tricky for white. I'm 1000 and 7 out of 10 my opponent just plays 5. c3 blocking with the pawn, but then Qxc4 picks up the bishop.
4. Traxler counterattack @ 3:45 I think white's queen to E1 favors white with queens canceling out. Could potentially leave black down a rook with white bishop still in attack mode
I hate it when I am presented these gambits as winning, when objectively the are losing when the opponent knows how to play. And these games are not included in the video. This way its a recipe for blitz at low elo levels. Problem isthat it traps players in a stule of play that gets them stuck at low levels. You will not won classic chess at 1800ELO with this stuff.
Oh wise and mighty one... For Rousseau Gambit @ time stamp 8:25 ish, after black play pawn to G6. How should black respond if white goes Queen takes H7 pawn? Black Rook to G2? Or do you have a more devious motif???
I don’t know if it is an amazing game but could you analyze Sokov vs Shapiro? Sokov was a genius player in Russian draughts, but he played chess as well. That is the unique chess game I found.
I couldn't believe what just happened when someone played the Traxler counterattack against my Fried liver attack and won me in few minutes. I just convinced myself that he knows Fried Liver attack way better than I do. Lol !

I registered and even before actually learning something, just by watching these videos on YT, my rating increased by 100 points :)
Damn, I didn't know I have to learn new openings every year
Lol didn’t read the patch notes ?
No, pick one opening and study it deeply
lmfao 😂😂😂
The balance changes go crazy on chess
Openings come and go with popularity, for those of us who can't memorize 15 moves deep into all Openings it's good to know what's popular and what to focus on
I swear I must be playing GMs with nothing better to do because nobody ever follows these strategies.

Thanks lol
in last one oppononent can simply castle instead of defending with pawn
Lol
My issue is I don't want a gambit, I want an opening.
Exactly...cause gambits are easily getting countered..and I lose
Yeah englund/charlick gambit is actually a really bad opening if the gambit is declined. You lose a pawn for nothing.
Those pictures for the Ponziani are hilarious 😂
He has a great sense of humor!
Another great video !!!

What do u use to study

Hi Igor - quick question: why wouldn't the knight (white ) take at e4? I understand you're trying to work the "fried" but why not quick take the knight and possibly even return to original position ?
5:52 I think most people in 400-600 elo would opt for kicking the bishop away with pawn h3
Hi Igor can you make a video if queen move to e3 please?
As a beginner who just push anything without thinking I learnt that the knight and bishop must be active in beginning. Thank you
Sir , in 2. Rousseau gambit , after attacking the knight by e4 pawn obviously white has to move his knight at its starting position . After that d5 is right but what happens if white plays d3 and offers a pawn exchange which is good because that black pawn is too much dangerous .

Learn everything good. Learn dubious things.
Congratulations. Do you remember which one you played?
Congrats!!
I love the Scandinavian

Thanks GM
8:30 what do you do if they immediately take on h7 instead of trade?
9:14 Your camera was blown away by the Rousseau gambit. and that face 😂😂😂
Epic humour.
OMG I GOT 50 ELO AFTER THOSE FIRST THREE OPENINGS THANKS 😭 as a 500 im so happy rn
Charlick gambit. What if he plays pawn h3 after you put bishop g4? 5:46
I was wondering the same thing
Rossaue gambit 8:30 , what to do if his pawn dont take the pawn and goes straight for h7 pawn with his queen? Looks pretty bad for black then..
Ne7 maybe?
Securing your rook on g8 and also giving that g6 square double coverage
And threatening his pawn on f5
Tks for the vid. In englund gambit, if White plays 3Kc3 insteed Kf3 it's over for black because the queen is protected... is there a response to 3Kc3 ?
You mean f2 and d2? The King has no option, he has to take the bishop.
This channel is the best
At first, I couldn't see how the Traxler Gambit has such a high win rate. Even if white does grab the bishop on f2, black can respond to Nxe4 with Ke3 (an easy move to find), then Qh5 is met with g6. What about pawn f2 to g3?
Thank you for your toturial
@ 8m - perfect order for resignation to setup the board for the next game... great one!
@04:17 what should you do if white knight take rook h8 and not bishop d5?
You will still play hxg4 because its mate
Fantastic!!
Nice video.... I appreciate. But what if your opponent move king e3 when you check him with Knight e4
hi, i wonder what app are you using in discussing that? I mean you can freely move the pieces the way you want it when you are discussing. what app is that?
Big shoutout to the 4ra support team from me as well, helped me navigate the site and place my first bet. They’re awesome!

Thanks for the video very helpful❤

With englund gambit I like to play 2.dxe5, Nf6, 3.Nc3 Qe7 4.Bc4 Qg4+. Getting really tricky for white. I'm 1000 and 7 out of 10 my opponent just plays 5. c3 blocking with the pawn, but then Qxc4 picks up the bishop.
you probably misspelled something, coz 4.Bc4 is impossible
@@MikhaillllKing I'm sorry, I meant f4, white wants to defend the pawn with the bishop
Forget about the opening what are you doing with the lion?
And also can you do a video on the bird opening?
4. Traxler counterattack @ 3:45 I think white's queen to E1 favors white with queens canceling out. Could potentially leave black down a rook with white bishop still in attack mode
Wouldn't Kd4 chase away the Qe2 move ?
I really love your vids❤❤
Thanks Sir
in the Ponziani Steinitz Gambit .....move 7 ........why wouldn't White simply take the knight with their Kings Bishop Pawn ?
He can't do that
I hate it when I am presented these gambits as winning, when objectively the are losing when the opponent knows how to play. And these games are not included in the video. 11:12 what if white pawn takes knight g3???
U resign, bc only that much was taught
what if in the opening he dosent go for pawn and gose for knight? im beginer ty😊
can you please show other moves the opponent may play with the #1 like what uf he takes the night then what?
Oh wise and mighty one...
For Rousseau Gambit @ time stamp 8:25 ish, after black play pawn to G6.
How should black respond if white goes Queen takes H7 pawn?
Black Rook to G2?
Or do you have a more devious motif???
Rg7 then Bxf5
Thank you, Igor. You are the best
.
I don’t know if it is an amazing game but could you analyze Sokov vs Shapiro? Sokov was a genius player in Russian draughts, but he played chess as well. That is the unique chess game I found.
Nice help
in ponziani, what steeps if knight capture knight?
The last one what would you do if he kills my knight ?
Traxler counterattack: what if King F1/E2 when bishop checks in F2?
9:00 if we play rook to h6 then he can push his h file pawn for conter attack then what???
you take the queen with the rook, pawn takes queen and you take his rook
My opponet always brings knight first before moving his other knight can you help?
Great openings for Black. Kudos.
Amazing chess strategies ❤
❤
also in #2 what if their queen takes the black rook insread of the pawn on a7?
9:12 how if white played a counter d4
Everytime I move my bishop on num 5 opening they move their pawn up to block it never works for me
Every week 4ra surprises us with some cool prizes, that’s why I stick with them.
wow, people have come up with some amazing new openings in the last 11 years; it's crazy and awesome.
2:09 he takes the knight tho!?
Rook takes back
I couldn't believe what just happened when someone played the Traxler counterattack against my Fried liver attack and won me in few minutes. I just convinced myself that he knows Fried Liver attack way better than I do. Lol !
Did anyone else see how fast 4RA updates the odds? Feels faster than a rocket!
what if the white knight takes black knight at 10:15?
In the Rousseau Gambit please talk about e3 for white.
If white takes on C7 and then takes on B8, doesn't white get a new queen by that pawn?
I played the roussou gambit quite often with a great win rate .
ICQM INTERCONTINENTAL QUEEN MISSILE
this should def be the other name for the fried liver counterattack 💀
Verification process in 4RA so simple, got my account ready in no time
They literally never follow the same moves and then I just get screwed
Sicilian left the chat
Sicilian is the most common move for black
It's wayy too hard, i barely got anyone@@prakriti6105
Thanks
10:38 amazing photo in Indian Traditional dress
The second doesn’t work. Black can propose Q exchange on d1
0:33 damn
On the last one, what if your opponent takes your knight with his knight????
Every time i try to play these gambits, they do not comply. The other players know these gambits and never do what they do in your videos.
Mastered the England trick, now I just need to learn how to act misclicked in real life
Trailer countrattack if king plays f1 what will be the variation
Thank you very much.
I have my weapons to play with.
Watched bunch of videos still proceeding with e4 -kc3-Bc4-d3...
Levy calls the first one the dark knight gambit 😂
Bro in the Rousseau gambit they trade the bishops but if they didn't take and move the knight so what will we do😅😅😅
Also the queen check in the Rousseau gambit what if they take the pawn first
Are those openings going to be any good in 2025?
Love how 4ra keeps everything transparent, makes me trust betting with them more.
Video idea for beginning and intermediate players: how to beat Magnus Carlsen in the first 20 moves.
We need more videos of endgames!!!
That fried liver trap is cool asf🙆🙆🙆
GM Igor you should link your socials in the description so we can follow you
Plus, the 4ra interface is so user-friendly, even my dad can use it without help.
As an Italian game player, I am sweating... Lol
Igor,best teacher
Wow! Carro Kahn is not in the top 5!? I love the carro Kahn defense.
