-How to control your mind?- You have to take it to the next level, like you have to take your mind as some wild beast or snake, e.g. if you found a tiger in your surroundings then you will be deeply in a very alert state(full awareness here & now), take your mind like that not as nasha. -Do you really think you need to regulate your mind? -Which is the most powerful behavior for human beings & why? Sympathy(Daya, pyar, affection) & tenderness must be imbibed. You have to establish & practice it. You have to make it your swabhav, your nature. Sympathy leads to peace of chitta that's why it's most powerful. It leads you to become calm. Make your words as soft as beautiful flower 🌺 When you can harm others through your anger or otherwise but still you practice sympathy/softness, that's when it matters most. 2nd thing that helps us regulate our mind is- Steadiness Of Purpose If you don't have anything your mind can loose itself on, fully focused, flow state. Then you are living a purposeless life. Man saadh sake aaise kuck dhoondo. It's not about success it's about going to (2b) & 3 & then 4th section of mind. These are must- 1. Practice of sympathy daily 2. Steadiness of purpose How to train your mind to make it calm if you aren't able to focus on the above 2 ? Pawan Putra (Hanuman), he represents prana. He could have saved Sita all by himself but for the sake of dharma he prefered to be a side hero & let Ram ji do it. So we need to focus on the prana in our body, do pranayama, 3 step breathing, aware of our breath & use it as an anchor ⚓ to regulate thoughts & emotions, by doing Vipassana & all. We also get peace of chitta through regulation of prana. -What is the difference b/w chitta & mind? Mind is bichara, just like water changes its shape so fast. Chitta is what it is, never changes. Pure form of Mind= Chitta. Lowest form of Chitta=Mind. Our mind feeds on so many illustrations, stick to same wrong habit, mental drifts. You can cut through your illusions & reach to chitta. This will only happen when you purify your lower nature of mind by not indulging in it or giving your attention. Being indulged in the lower nature is acting upon your anger or greed or lust or envy & becoming one & identifying yourself with it totally, acting on it. Indulgence is your lower nature, so always be alert & aware of it. It opens the door to illusions & more indulgence in them, that lower door always remains open for you. Gautama Buddha used to send his disciples to the cemetery to let his disciples ruminate & meditate over death & to get over this illusion that this body & mind is not real. Find what is real beyond this suffering. First you need to find & be totally aware of this lower nature & keep yourself from indulging in it. This present world is all about sensations, consumerism, totally dependent on them, like a drunkard we can't remain away from them, always indulge in our lower nature, outer world feeding it daily & we support it too. You have to be deeply in a very alert state else you keep on missing all these things. And if you are able to do this, then a Disinfection Chamber will be around you, nothing will ever be able to touch you, both sadness & happiness. Accidents will happen but it won't be able to touch you in any way, you will remain as sakshi, mindfulness, meditativeness. -Always ask yourself what is my lower nature? Make a diary My Indulgence See today in what thing you got indulged in. Mind is invisible, make its activities visible by making a diary, writing about it, uncover it fully from there understanding comes. If you wanna control mind first thing is to make mind(it's activities) Visible, same as if you wanna catch a snake 🐍, first you need to find it, observe it, make it more visible so later you may catch it with required tools. This snake keeps biting you daily, now contemplate on that bite, how it creates suffering for you & others. Play scenes (happening) in your mind & contemplate about it. Like today you got angry or you acted upon your ego or lust/greed made you it's slave today. Focus on your reactions, response, self talk, mental drift, emotions, conditioning. Now again ask yourself if i have to play this scene again in my life how would I do it now & why? Write down on which instance your mind got out of control & replay it in your mind through I(intelligence) center. Michael Phelps used to practice swimming even by closing eyes, like even if he gets blind still he can win the race. He created so many simulations in his mind, ran them & practiced them over & over again so no difficulty could ever touch him. So that's why he became the biggest Olympic athlete ever. So you also have to practice with the worst cases that happened with you or by you. Make a Diary & start writing, uncovering your own truth, nothing can be more interesting than this.
