I though JPY depreciated for the last 3 years and not appreciated as you explained? For Example In 2021 you borrowed 100 JPY sold them and get 1 USD. Now you sell 1 USD and get 140 JPY back. So JPY deprecated and USD appreciated? And you earned 40 JPY just because of FX
