I find it's a good ldea to explain to the clients the long time saving of the clean ie heat exchanger blockages, jamming rad valves, also I find using the new magnaclean as a dosing pot works better for me, great videos by the way keep up the good work
I have a magnacleanse , and a powerflush machine think am going to get a thorough flush as if the water pressure is good reversing the flow quickly will cause alot of turbulence and hopefully give me good results. We will see. I got my self the Adey ProCheck so i can test the water quality at the end, I find the customers like the report. Nice job 👌 keep the videos coming really enjoy them appreciate the effort it take to film and edit these.
Hahaaa.... yes mate, middle of nowhere and the old oil boiler is chugging away like a dream.....👌🏼👌🏼 Yer she’s really pleased her house now gets hot everywhere👌🏼
once the inhibitor is in does that also breakdown what magnetic is left in the system or carry it too the magnaclean as I've just flushed the old radiators out the old school way with hose on each end as they were two big for me too lift the smaller ones i removed also agitated them the rest i replaced, i put mc1 in but the full bottle on a 10 rad system as i wanted more then too less
I personally charge £400 for a combi system up to 8 rads, then £50 per rad extra. That’s for a complete clean and flush shown here If they don’t have a MagnaClean or filter that’s mentioned and obviously extra.
Excellent pal, I generally wrap a dish cloth around the rad agitator. It prevents chipping the radiator paint. The rad hammer's also great for shifting magnatite from P2P's at when you need to get the hot water up and running. Again wrap the rad hammer with a dish cloth. 2 x Adey MC3 are equivalent to a bottle of MC5. Don't get flustered by the trolls. They always seem to know how to do things better 😜, great tutorial pal 👍
Thanks mate, yer I usually have sock over the agitator but I couldn’t find it... was ok though. Thanks for the support mate, glad your liking the content...
Just bought one of these systems for my own use - it’s connected and running now with strong system cleaner added which I’ll leave running for a month, cleaning magnets regularly. I’ll then drain down and refill with Inhibiter. Amazing what came out after even 1 hour! A few of my returns are blocked - do you think it clears blockages?
Nice one mate….. I wouldn’t leave stronger cleaner in the system that long, 48hours max!!!!….. then put a light cleaner in for a few days then completely flush through. They are great bits of kit
@@MJTiffPlumbing Thanks. It’s Adey MC3 and it says up to 28 days. There were a few leaks at the jubilee clips, seems OK now as pressure has dropped slightly. Might double up next time. Was yours OK?
Well done Mark, a brilliant insight and demonstration on how the magnaclean and system flush work. I’m sure the customer was very pleased after seeing the results of the debris on the magnets. It must also be satisfying for you when you achieve results like that. Another brilliant job and thank you for sharing. Have you used the locktite thread seal yet in place of the PTFE tape? If so what did you think. Have a good week, take care, regards , Chris.
Thanks Chris... glad you liked it, I enjoy these system flushes as they are so satisfying when you pull the magnets out at the end. As for the big loctite test..... still not had chance!!!... but I will cover it in a video
@@MJTiffPlumbing fitted the Magna clean professional, big saving on price compared to bosch, thank you👍. Running for 3 day's with flux and sludge remover. Can't believe what that filter has trapped. 😁
Thanks buddy. My basic starting point for a flush is £400 for a combi system with 8 rads, the it’s £59 extra per rad. More if it’s an open vented system like this Also if it needs filter etc etc
Another cracking video mate! I'd really appreciate it if you could tell us mere mortals how you went about flushing the system afterwards with a vented system please? 😬 I'm guessing pressure from feed tank alone probably not enough? Thanks mate
Thanks mate Flushed it with its own pump mate, i dont do pressurised powerflushs as they are not for me for varies reasons. Just completely flush the system through with clean water then on the final pass pour in the inhibator that stays in
Another good job well done mate. Not sure if you do this when connecting the pushfit connectors for the magnacleanse, but I always leave the twin black collar with the red lock on to make it easier to remove the pushfit connectors. Just a tip if you didn't already.👍🏾
Hey Mark, hope your Xmas was relaxing..... just a quick question regarding this job... Did you shut down and flush 1 rad at a time or did you just flush through the whole system??
Great job as always. Just out of interest, when would you power flush a system rather than magna cleanse? How do you decide which is best? Many thanks.
Thanks mate. I personally don’t powerflush systems as I think it’s not great to overpressurise a heating system that you don’t know the history of. I’ve heard stories of powerflushes blowing fittings apart.. so I don’t do it. The MagnaCleanse relies on the systems pump to do the work so it’s basically running how the system runs day in day out apart from the various solutions used and the radiator agitator doing its job
No it wouldn’t of mate as the system had cleaning solutions put in and filtered around, all radiators were agitated as show in the video and the system was flushed completely... The magnaclean fitted inline into the system will catch what is floating about... but no where near as much as the full system clean that was done.. I don’t use the MagnaCleanse for no reason
@@MJTiffPlumbing yes it would of you just do what you did put cleaner in system use rubber mallet and clean filter even if you had to clean filter more than once you are Still using same set up but smaller scale.
Yes.... it is the same system but the MagnaCleanse is on a larger/more powerful scale hence using it for system flushes... as do most good plumbers. The inline one fitted to the system is for Maintance purposes.... this is for flushing If you want to try and do a complete system through that then carry on buddy👍🏼👍🏼
I'm doing one of these tomorrow and this vid will make it easier. A friend lent me the kit.

You need to completely mains flush the system clean first before the inhibitor goes in
@@MJTiffPlumbing i have done but does inhibitor still carry the sludge or break it down and carry it too the magnaclean if any is missed later on?
Lovely job done...very satisfying I always give the option to replace the pump too leaving the old one as a backup....at an extra cost naturally 😉

I usually put a quarter pounder with cheese under the agitator
I remember cleaning a filter one time and it was that thick with it that I had to really pull on it to get it out. No wonder the boiler was kettleing.
Yep I’ve had jobs where the magnets are a lot worse than this one.... so satisfying
Cracking job Mark 👍 you should have gone to A&E with that wound - but you patched it up Rambo style 😁 Have a good week mate

what do you do to keep pump running when boiler has got to temperature and system won't circulate. is there a way of just keeping pump running
The pump will still run when the boiler gets to temp to circulate the water around the system...👍🏼

Mc3? Shouldn’t it be Mc5 as it’s a rapid flush ?
Im thinking about getting one of these. Quick question tho geez can it only be installed onto an existing magna cleaner or have they made it universal
