Driving the Ring backwards would def be a challenge because it is crazy enough the normal way. The first three generations of BMW M3s were great esp the E30 M3s which were glorious.
The section you guys are known for filming seemed rather slick and super tricky during the event, considering the Escort crash, the Skodas having scrapes, and the saves made by other cars.

It's an Opel Kadett GSi 16V with a 4-cylinder 2.0L 154 hp engine 0-60 mph in 6.5 sec The Pontiac LeMans was just rebadged Daewoo Nexia which was based on the outdated Kadett E platform made in South Korea. Opel gave the tooling to the Koreans after the Kadett was discontinued in Europe. The German made ones were far more better than the Korean ones except for the fact that they rust.

They're just random messages of support painted by car fans. 🙂 You're not supposed to do it, but the course is so long and difficult to monitor that it's impossible for marshals to stop guys sneaking out to leave graffiti.
That guy in the red car goes through the corner , almost goes off .... so you'd think he'd have a plan next time he enters that corner , nope goes straight into the barrier
I’m surprised that they are racing the course backwards. Armco barriers are placed for one way only. This is exactly how an instructor died at the Walt Disney World Speedway when a student lost control when they were using the raceway in reverse. Very dangerous use of this circuit, not impressed.
This is a rally... you know the kind of race were they drive 180km/h through a forest... Seems even more dangerous than driving the 'Ring in the opposite direction.
That R5 Turbo crash is heartbreaking. It's always the case for old cars, especially when there is few cars left.
Feel exactly the same ! Very bad crash, hope they will save it anyway.

Turbo lag , it seems. Everyone is safe, and the car can be repaired...
Me too mate - I’m really happy that it’s being driven though and not stuck in a collection somewhere. Hopefully it’ll be back soon 🤞🏻

That Group B Renault 5 crash was totally the drivers fault. He turned right too soon after exiting the corner while accelerating hard.
