- Pretty similar to a regular United States Meal Ready to Eat but the main meals and some snacks are definitely a bit better.
The Meal, Religious, Ready-To-Eat Halal is utilized to feed those individuals in the Military Service who maintain a strict religious diet. Each meal consists of one Halal certified entree and religiously certified/acceptable complementary items sufficient to provide the recommended daily nutritional requirements. Each case of Religious Meals contains twelve meals with entrees and component/accessory items. (Defense Logistics Agency webste)

Ramadan Mubarak! I need to do some searching for Halal MREs. Right now I have HDRs in case stuff hits the fan, but these would definitely be preferable.

@@hessex1899 I met a Muslim soldier in Afghanistan and he gave me couple of his halal MRE's.
Later I tactically acquired few of them from the ANA and ANP.
Man I almost went to file the paperwork changing my religion to Islam so I could file the forms for religious accommodation just for MRE's. 😂
Unfortunately you can't find them easily, they require special religious accommodation forms to be submitted so they're not like the ones you find them on the PX shelves (at least back in my days)
Someone who's a Muslim must give them to you that's what they told me.
In the good old times, if you wanted to have a fancy dinner on an inner-European flight on Lufthansa or Austrian while travelling in economy, you had to select Halal or lactose-free meal as your option, and you will get the business class catering. Of course, nowadays, you can be happy if the water is free.

I think it's incredible that the US military offers so many variants on MREs; vegan, vegetarian, kosher, halal, etc. I love these videos. Fantatstic quality, funny, informational. You're a huge asset to the army (guard) dont let them forget it! Lol

Love this series, I really enjoy this. Hope you get to try a lot of different countries MRE.

Pudding + Peanuts + Cranberries + Crushed-Oatmeal-Cookie = Top Tier Dessert. Might need to slap the mixture against a rock or something a couple time to confirm proper mixing.

I suggest you to try European MREs. I heard British, German and Italian are awesome, some guys liked Danish back in the days. Personally I liked the most Lithuanian MRE Nr. 3, 5 and 7.

The chocolate pudding must be fairly new i was in 06-16 and the closest we had to that was the chocolate beverage powder. You could make it into pudding depending on how much water you added

It’s an absolutely horrendously beautiful piece, I mean just wow. It deserves to be thrown in the garbage.
