  • In this video we do a 'stock take' of the Kujaku fry to see how many are left and of what size.
    In addition the first batch of 5000 two week old Goshiki fry are moved outside to reduce numbers in the indoor tank.

    Glad your surplus good fry find a home. Why don’t you sell them in say 1000 batches. There must be loads of viewers who would be keen to grow them on?

    To count vast numbers of fry on fish farms we weigh a certain amount, count them, work out how many fish you want to move, then weigh the amount of fish you need to move, its not exact but it ain't far off, hope this helps. For example if you weighed out a 1lb of fish, and say there was 100 fish for ease of use. So you need to move 2500 fish that would be 25lb to move. I know your fish are smaller just scale it down

      I was thinking exactly the same Mick .Mark I would be happy to take on some of your rejects to grow on.

    • @MarkGardnerNTVfree
      @MarkGardnerNTVfree  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      absolute rejects, i.e. deformities, ones of no discernible quality or variety, are discarded.
      Others go to a friend.
      Longer term the better will be offered for sale, but have to get there first.

    Hi Mark,
    I had a look at the norfine nets. Do you know if you use the 0.5mm mesh net or the 1.5mm.
    Thanks in advance
    Ali

    Hi Mark, love the channel, expat watching from Cape Town, Mark maybe you can answer a broader question on Koi culls in Japan? What do they do with their massive numbers that they cull.
