This video features the CLA45s AMG which is one of the AMG performance versions of the Mercedes CLA. My car is the 2022 CLA45s AMG Coupe but you can also get the CLA45s AMG Shooting brake or even the A45s Hatch back.

I dont think that was the down pipe🤔. Looked more like a resonator delete to me.i thought the downpipes are further up next to the engine.

Did you swap it also w/o any adjustments of software / re-mapping? Thinking about doing the same but do not want to touch the software…

100% go for it! It sounds pretty much the same in sport mode so its good when you want to be quiet then its a huge difference in sport+ and track!

Based on this video and a quick chat to Quicksilver i bought the OPF delete pipes. Contacted a tuning company near me to arrange fitting and they won't do it.
Said they dont fit customer provided parts and said it would need remapped or some OPF delete modules fitted?
I take it you just did the straight swapped the pipes over and did nothing else and had no management lights or any other kind of trouble?
Hey, sorry to hear this. I can confirm that this was a simple swap and we did not touch anything else or do any tuning. I’ve not had any error codes so far its been great. I’d avoid that tuning company and find someone that knows what they are doing. If you contact Quicksilver they should be able to recommend somewhere approved to have it fitted.

General question, can you modify a financed car? Ie downpipes ??
I financed my car through Aston Martin and they actually recommended this mod to me so in most circumstances it should be fine depending on what you do. You can’t mod a lease car though.
Owning a car like with no garage is pure madness
I’d love a double garage but we love living in this area, owned this house now for 5 years, new mortgage rates means the mortgage went over £2000 a month now too. Sadly a house in this area with a good sized garage would be another million. Cars pretty safe here though on private driveway. Whats the main reason you would only keep it in a garage? Il be driving it often and it has a tracker etc and its pretty safe here. Regularly detailed also so wont need a cover 👍

You managed to ruin another car with a silly exhaust mod.
But I get your excitement, I did the same with my SL63 a few years back, and I thought it was all the rage. But all it did, was that it turned a lovely first-class car into an antisocial boy-racer box.
A few months later, I took the whole original exhaust to be ceramic coated at Zircotec, and fitted it back onto the car. Lost more than £5K in the whole process.
Hey Peter I think you have misunderstood this mod. All I have done here is removed the OPF to makes it sound like the 2019 Stock Vantage, which is the exact intended sound for the car from the factory. They only added the opf in 2021 models cos they were forced to. If you don’t like this then you will hate a stock 2018 C63, AMG GT or Vantage. Also a great thing about the C63, GT etc and Vantage is if you don’t want any pops you can just turn them off in the car using the drive modes.
@@ABAUTOAMG i think it ruins the car; a Grand Tourer should not sound like this. Plus, all your neighbours hate you right now.
The Vantage has a nice little quiet start feature if you press and hold the start button. I have been told its quieter than the CLA45s when I use this :) It’s also pretty quiet in the comfort drive setting, great for driving through residental places and towns.

I’ve been told it will be fine. Should go through like a pre-facelift C63 or 2019 Vantage since they don't have opf’s 👍
