Anil Kumble is from my College... He use to be a fast bowler in college later became a spinner... he was the backbone of Indian cricket and trump card for Azhar... Dravid, srinath, prasad, kumble, joshi all from same state... Saqlian U WERE ALSO AMAZING... u started bowling in the death overs, which no spinner could dare... I really respect u and Allah give u lambi hayathee...
But I remember the match before kumble took 10 wickets in an inning... Saqlain finished the Indian tail and won test match for Pak... Sachin batted alone but could not finish it for India.

no not just that always a bombayite scores over others due to the commercial clout and our preference to batsmen over bowlers and that is the reason why we didn't produce many bowlers be it spinners or fast bowlers where as all over the world it is very balanced appreciation and glorification. South has always been at the recieving end most of the times.

Saqlain Mushtaq is a gem of a person who invented the doosra for cricket. In terms of skills as an offspinner , he was second to none. He should have ended up with atleast 600 Test wickets. The PCB's unprofessionalism played a part in his career being shortened. Saqlain's lack of formal education also played a part in him not being able to manage his own career properly. International sports career is too short a time and too fast to be able to look back and make changes. Before your realize your mistakes, your sports career is finished. Unfortunately cricket is the loser here for Saqlain not realizing his potential.

Anil sir, what a humble, clever and a dedicated player. Even with a fractured jaw he bowled like a lion. Moreover, about you Saqlain Sir (bowling Saqqi - as how Moin Sir would shout behind the wickets), you are one of the best and the cleverest off spinners that I ever witnessed. Not a big turner, however, with great variation and loads of experience & clever technique. Your dusra's were the one we witnessed then, not to be seen the way you bowled now. God bless you Sir. Saqlain Mushtaq is a gem of a person who invented the doosra for cricket. In terms of skills as an offspinner , he was second to none. He should have ended up with atleast 600 Test wickets. The PCB's unprofessionalism played a part in his career being shortened. Saqlain's lack of formal education also played a part in him not being able to manage his own career properly. International sports career is too short a time and too fast to be able to look back and make changes. Before your realize your mistakes, your sports career is finished. Unfortunately cricket is the loser here for Saqlain not realizing his potential.
