has anyone who has thoughts on how to stop thumb-sucking have any idea what it means? Monkeys in the wild generally do NOT suck thumbs. Captive, frightened and stressed monkeys have a whole range of unique behaviours ro mitigate anguish. Thumb sucking is but one of these self soothing techniques

Hi Mom, my brother sucked his thumb but he stopped when my mother put chili sauce on it .( just watch she dont get it in her eyes. )After he tasted the chili he never put his finger back in his mouth again but mother applied chilli sauce for 4 days more just to be sure.😘😘❤❤
I think Didi prefers her fingers because they are much smaller than the pacifier, I also watch monkey Pupu and when he was younger he sucked his fingers until his mother bought him a pacifier but that was much smaller than the one you have, maybe try a smaller one, she might like that better. Just a suggestion.
