As an archeology student in Italy, I can guarantee you 100% that the first king is absolutely accurate. From weapons, to language and dressing is pitch point perfect. Say whatever you want about the plot, it's obviously false

Master & Commander is one of my all time favorite movies…A true historical masterpiece Downfall is brilliant as well with some 1st class acting. Apocalypto …. I thought was well done & a nice look at a period of history that you don’t see too often.

What about Midway ( both 1976 and 2019 movies ), Tora! Tora! Tora!, and I can't believe Gettysburg was left out. Obviously there are too many to fit in a list of 10, but I feel Gettysburg should have topped your list. Very historical movie. Gettysburg had 89% audience score on Rotten tomatoes. Scored a 7.6 on IMdB.

My list would be Troy, Master & Commander, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, the King, Outlaw King, Braveheart, Robin Hood (russel crowe), the Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Last Samurai are top amongst others.
"braveheart" really ??? braveheart was a fantasy it was FAR from realistic. it depicts scots of the time to be wearing skirts when in reality they were armored knights. i think of "The Outlaw King" as a BUG FIX for Braveheart
I have seen 2 out of the 10. My all time favorite is the Gladiator, but I would like to mention and recommend "The Legend of Tomiris" (2019) which is I think quite underrated. Maybe it's just my opinion, because I am obsessed with that era and strong women.
Gladiator? One of the worst. We are speaking about history in the 10 movies listed in the video, not entertainment. Whether the 10 movies depict history accurrately, there are books and the Internet, and for us to find out. Gladiator has is consumerism.

Just seen it recently. Sure had some great fight scenes in it that's for sure. Reminded me of the series ........ 'The Last Kingdom'. Which is one of my personal favorites. Check it out if you haven't already.

Agree Schindlers List is the best, otherwise of the ones I’ve seen on the list I agree especially Master and Commander

I have never seen a better movie than Gladiator. Ridley Scott is one of the bests.
