Before 2018 for sure, they already played it at quakecon. Closed beta will be early next year, open beta probably in the summer, hopefully sooner.
I can, specially because they done a multiplayer test at this quakecon already. I don't think they won't launch it until quakecon 2017. But let's see

Да, на квэйконе 2017 не вышел из группы. Спасибо организаторам, за отсутствие прямых приглашений на турнир, в Европе там такое мясо было, ужас. Зло против куллера в 1 раунде, затем что вроде против сайфера, ну там группа на гранд финал квэйкона тянула. Yes, in 2017 Quakeon did not leave the group. Thanks to the organizers, for the lack of direct invitations to the tournament, in Europe there was such meat, horror. Evil against the cooler in round 1, then what seems to be against cypher, well, there the group on the grand finale of Quakecon pulled.

Am i the only one here who thinks that the players should've been equal in the grandfinal? It was 2-2 and we say that one of them is the winner :/
The tournament had double elimination modus. Evil had already lost one game and Rapha had not. The +1 map point is the reward for not losing a single game up to grand finals. The alternative option would be to have a full bo5 rematch in case Rapha loses, so we would essentially see the same maps being played again - and it would of been much more work for Evil to win. Otherwise there would be no point in winning the winner bracket, or any downsides for dropping to loser bracket. It's a tournament, not an arranged match between two specific players.
That's why i think that this winner and loser bracket system is a little bit suck. It would be better if they use the system like the football world cup use, (with groups).
Many other (big) tournaments have double elimination without the stupid +1 in the grand finals... Moreover, the +1 decided the victor two years in a row now, so it definitely sucks and should be removed.
kaptoxic +1 sucks a lot less than a complete rematch. It takes twice as long which is boring to audience and tedious to players. Don't know which tournaments you're talking about, but it's just pointless and stupid to have the tournament on double elim without any kind of winner bracket bonus lol. Because then it just would be unfair to the team/player that didn't lose a single game so far. In contrast the other team would have lost one game, but somehow they'd still be on equal grounds.. Like what?
Btw, dunno how it was here on QCON, but some double elimination tourneys let's the loser pick the map. Basically, you get +1 from winning the bracket, however the opponent gets to choose the maps as long as they lost the last map. So it kinda evens out that way.

I am not sure what do you mean by complete rematch; I had in mind just removing +1 and treating it as normal best-of-five finals (so it's longer only by one game). What? It's not unfair, +1 is unfair; the fact that losers have to survive the losers bracket (which is best-of-one) makes it fair and sensible to remove +1. The biggest esports tournament of them all, The International (Dota 2) was like that since its beginning. +1 in the grand finals cannot possible be fair, get real.

He is, he said he is playing since 98' or 99'. But he doesn't wanna go Pro as he thinks that the game would not be fun anymore as he would take it seriously.
I've never seen him duel, he's mostly a clan arena player from what I've seen, having good aim only goes so far if you don't have god tier game sense.

I can barely tell what the hell is going on because having forced player models makes differentiating between the two players impossible. Whoever recorded the demos needed to not like the smell their own farts so much and consider people who don't know the game so well. I can imagine being completely confused by this video.

I will give you a quick exemple, Very low level so that you will hopefully develop your strategic thinking. Nadal won more than 66% games against federer. yet federer is the greatest tennis player in history ;)
