    Before moving to Navarre I used ghost shrimp for salmon and steelhead fishing in CA.

      That’s awesome. I’ve never done any salmon fishing. Would love to go do that some time.

    In Australia we call it a Yabby, best found at low tide in tidal creeks. If you have plenty left over from fishing you can preserve them by dipping them into boiling water with a high sugar content then freeze them or refrigerate if using the next day. Metholated spirits is also good for preserving beach worms. Put worms in a jar of Metho and keep in fridge for the week or drain and freeze.

    Great channel Bearded Brad. Enjoyed this video and how to make the pump. We typically go to St George Island the 2nd weekend in October every year. I usually catch sand fleas, but do you think ghost shrimp are in the gulf beach on SGI? If so, how do you typically like to hook them? Thanks

    • @BeardedBrad92
      @BeardedBrad92  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are in the Gulf, they’re here in Alabama, I know they’re in Navarre but I’m not positive if they’re in SGI. I’m posting a video today that will show you how you need to hook them to keep them on the hook

    You should pump it directly into a colender and itll wash the sand away and keep the yabbie in the colender. We call them yabbies/nippers here in Australia

    Does this bait work year round? I don’t see y’all using ghost shrimp as often as other baits.

    • @BeardedBrad92
      @BeardedBrad92  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will still use it year around to try to find those pompano that are still around. This bait works well for everything though. I’ve caught a lot of black drum and red fish on ghost shrimp as well.

    • @possibledreams186

      In Texas, you need to be licensed for salt water fishing. Limit is 20 per licensee, per day.

    I made two pumps from you videos. Only had 2 opportunities, first time I struck out and second time I only caught small ones. Are there optimal conditions or time of year or any particulars to catching them. Thanks
