this is my prescription OD +1.25-0.75x 130 OS +125-0.75x 070 add +2.25 is there a way to make lenses that allow me to see the rear sight front sight and the target at 100y ? maybe with the near vision at the top so with only a small movement of my head i can see the sights clearly then shift to see the target clearly in not using a shot gun on clays target shooting with large and small calibers would that also work for skeet ? please if u could leave me some advice as the eye doc i saw kinda didnt listen to my needs and the optician said that its impossible to put the correction up top so i can see the sight picture clearly(not sure of the distances that i need to see i know for sure the target would be long distance vision not sure if the front sight and rear sights are mid vision or reading/bifocal) PLEASE ADVISE ME i know im not a paying customer but i could use some advice on this issue im having in my older age,,,,, im coming up on 60 this year and decided after 25 years to pick up shooting again
For skeet you’d need just the distance prescription, no need for any intermediate/close up. For rifle shooting, a low reading add of approx +1.00 would help you with the sights - if you wanted, you could have a low add bifocal lens fitted upside down in a frame to achieve what you’re looking for 😎💥💥
@@edlyonssportsvision9197 i fly RC as well so i did order a set just for distance,,,, and yes i have seen shooting glasses on videos that suggest the bi-focal be up top and with just a slight shifting of the head(not a roll but,,, well u know what i mean) i can then look at the target,,,,,,, Getting old sucks !!!! and thanx for the advice,,,,, are u sure the +1.00 is enough to see the sights clearly? i sit about 2 feet from my computer screen and use 2.50 readers to see it clearly would not 1.75 be better more clear front and rear sights ?,,,,,,,, ill have to bite the bullet and spend the extra to find a good set of top bifocal glasses ill have to buy multi strength lenses to see what mag makes the rear and front sights clear ur probably right about the 1.00 as a baseline ill use that to test with the cheep readers Thank you for the advice !!!!!!
@@shockwave326 yes, the +1.00 figure is called an add as it’s ADDED to the distance prescription, not just +1.00 on its own. You can work out the add you want as it’s the reciprocal of the distance. Good luck!
