For BFMV It’s because most of their newer stuff doesn’t hold up to any of their earlier material in a lot of people’s opinions. Their first 3 albums and their Hand Of Blood EP are absolute metalcore gold. Also Architects only recently started getting bigger, they weren’t always as popular as they have been in the past 4 or so years.
BFMV are one of the pioneers of modern metal.

I love em both and each of em has their place. in the end it might be depending on your point of view whom you gonna prefer mostlikely the one of which you heard first.

Personally architects, wss, polaris, currents, bury tomorrow, erra, ink, imminence, spiritbox are all bands that i would put here but theyre not here because the numbers dont cut it, simple

The problem with metalcore is theres so many bands that are classed as metalcore that the genre is diluted. For every a7x (before they became prog metal, dont get me wrong i think stage is their best album but they aint core anymore) or august burns red or whatever, you have countless asking alexandrias and garbage like that. Makes finding new music a pain in the ass, shuffling through infinite bad bands to find 1 good band, which is why core has such a bad reputation as a genre. Unfortunately we’ll never be able to separate the good from the bad completely

@@ytalorafael9710 FIR 3rd album is the only Metalcore album they have. There 1st was more of a hardcore album. Their second is a wannabe rap metal album. Their most recent album is electronicore.

That's strange enough. The song of Beartooth band takes 11th place in most popular metalcore songs, but almost noone knows about this band in Russia. When I was younger I created the first video about it in Russian TH-cam (don't try to find it, it was deleted).
