Samoa Primary is the best school. I went to Marist from year 1-3 to RLSS for year 4 and I learned nothing until I attended my cousin afternoon class who was in year 1 in Samoa primary and finally learned how to read in Samoan. My parents immediately enrolled me in SamPri after that.
In 1962 I attended CCWS Church College of Western Samoa Form 4. My parents were labor missionaries for the LDS Church. We lived in Pesega right next to the school. I totally loved it! Uniforms and all. Next year 1963 we moved to NZ at Temple View. Returned to Samoa for my mission 1966 tru 1968. Totally love your videos. Your kids don’t know how lucky they are.
Good one again 👌 keep them coming for those who watch this channel the commercial is nice to watch the whole thing I know some r boring but trust me don't skip it thanks

Hey Joe, Keep up the Good work 😁. As for your concern about English language being spoken at Pesega during Ceremony Awards or school Assembly Presentations I'll put a word in for you to my Uncle who happens to be the School Principal of Pesega. Can't guarantee, but I'll do what I can 😁

The "Speak English Only" rule still applies at Pesega from what I've heard but, you know, samoans will speak samoan whenever they like lol.....Robert Louis and Faatuatua Christian School students are the only students I've seen speak english even when among themselves.
It's strange you said that Joe because back in our days everything was done in English pretty much from assembly every Monday mornings price giving you name it around the campus it says speak in English all times and speak samoan when you go to samoan class not sure what's going on with that. That's my school love it with all my heart if it wasn't for Church College I wouldn't be here and achieved so much in my life love seeing the girls back at school and congratulations to your daughter for skipping year 11 on to year 12 awesome brother alofa aku take care
It’s awesome that your daughters are learning fa’asamoa in their classrooms And I like the younger daughters mu’umu’u.. Your daughters are beautiful like their Mummy haha and you too Joe. My husband has become a fan of watching JAMily TV 💕💕💕 copy cat 🤣
Pesega has changed since I went there. They were very strict about speaking in Samoan and wasn’t allowed anywhere unless you’re in Samoan class. They use to have signage everywhere you look ‘speak in english’
School here in Samoa, Australia, and New Zealand go according to seasons like we do in the States, but our seasons are opposite. So when we were in the States, we took off June-August, but here in Samoa, we take the summer off here too, but it’s Nov-Jan instead of the June-August. We split the school year up into terms and do four terms per year w a week or so off in between each. 🙂
Varies all over the place. Last week was the first week of school and so schools are especially inconsistent during that time. But usually they start around 830 and finish around 2 for primary schools. High schools are usually 830-3. But high school will sometimes get out at 11. Or 12. Or 1. But they never tell parents. It’s frustrating. At least that’s the case at Pesega. 🤦♂️

Oh. And i should also note that American Samoa teaches American curriculum and according to the American school schedule. So they’re off from school June-August too.
Wow thats changed a lot. When i was at the school back in the early 80s no one was allowed to speak Samoan. Like you got detention if you were caught lol
Sammy Jays est.15 i attended school in Apia (Pesega) where Joe’s older girl goes but only for a year. I attended school in NZ before finishing my schooling in Australia.
Kaffy Timoteo I graduated from Pesega too and yes when you enter the campus you’ve to speak English every time you only allowed to speak Samoans when you’re in Samoan class lol I think they still have those rules in Pesega 💛💙
Same rules still applies today. Once you’ve entered the campus you must speak English at all times except in Samoan Classes. #Proud Ex Student of Pesega ❤️ #ClassOf2013💙
Misi&Tee Kolose but according to Joe everything is in Samoan now even the ceremonies I remembered back in the day ceremonies, prize giving, devotionals, you name it was in English

How does the school year work out there. Why is the first day in January???

What are the school hours in Samoa? We just came back from Holiday over in Samoa 2 days ago and noticed kids seemed to end at noon?
Varies all over the place. Last week was the first week of school and so schools are especially inconsistent during that time. @@JAMilyTV Thanks for clearing that up very interesting
when they started singing in school at @07:20 straight fatu
Did the school year just started or theirs going back after break?🤔 curious to know what's school there like.

@@JAMilyTV so interesting. Thank you, best of luck during this year.
Definitely different and takes some getting used to, lol!
Oh. And i should also note that American Samoa teaches American curriculum and according to the American school schedule. So they’re off from school June-August too.
@@JAMilyTV interesting. So if summer break there is from (nov-jan) like you said earlier, what break is (June-August)? If that makes any sense😂
Miss my home🙁🙃
