I like how in the chapter, Doffy comes off as taunting Magellan by stating how the rise in sea level would be an issue for the prison, to which Magellan just flatly replies "yeah, that does sound like an issue, doesn't it?"
Once Oda said that when we see a pirate with an eye patch, we will know that the series is about to end. In the recent chapter, we are introduced to Joyboy as the first pirate. What if the pirate with the eye patch is Joyboy? We probably won't see him until the end, which coincides with what Oda said.

@@thatguyoverthere2217 In my opinion, Toki didn't know Joyboy's plan. If she knew it, then she should be preparing the world for joyboy's reincarnation. That was actually done by Roger. You can argue that Roger was guided by Toki, but I don't think so, as Toki original goal was to reach Wano. The reason why Toki looked for Wano, in my believe, was that she was looking for the time when Wano had opened it border. And for why she was searching for the time... I think she was Joyboy's crew's child. She was told that, one day Wano would open its border. And the time she lived in, Wano was suppressed by the newly founded world government. That caused her to run away from her current timeline when she got her devil fruit power. Toki might and might not be born in Wano, or be the child of Joyboy's crew. But she probably knew about the Wano is going to open its border someday.
I was so glad to see Saul! I didn't realize how much seeing his laugh again would mean to me before I finally saw it. Also, how could you not mention Robin being able to overcome her shock against Saturn in time to catch her friends who were protecting her in her fleur net? While it wasn't much, this chapter had some lovely Robin moments in it, as I'm counting Saul under that for obvious reasons. As for the "Mu" part of "A" and "Mu", I have to assume that the Mu part is referring to either the Buddhist ideal of Mu, which, if I understand correctly, refers to every living being's potential for enlightenment. Or it might refer to nothingness, as in the nothingness that the mother flame has the potential to leave behind, as I'm positive that it's a stand-in for nuclear energy, which can both bring about near-limitless energy and prosperity, or limitless destruction.
Some theories about the writings that i saw online is: 1. 'and' in Japanese is pronounced as 'to', so the word A&Mu is a pun at 'atom' (nuclear fission, sun, power station, atom, etc.. you get the point) 2. There are a couple ideas for the S-108. One of them is that atomic mass of silver is 108 a.m.u. Another one is that the diameter of the Sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth and the distance between the Earth and the Sun is 108 times the diameter of the Sun
108 is also a number of some significance in Buddhism, right? Urouge's bounty was 108 million in reference to that too. So the Mother Flame could have some religious significance. Religion -> Sun God Nika -> could the Mother Flame be an attempted replication of the planet's star?
9:52 honestly, as soon as I saw Shalria questioning the void century in the chapter, I had a feeling it was setting up for either some world noble rebellion, or maybe a clash between older world nobles like the elders and Figarland and the god knights against the younger world nobles, maybe implying that because they’re younger, they’re more open to change/ have seen more of the real world than past nobles/ or whatever the the reasoning is
It's almost poetic how the only island/arc that didn't get a call back was Skypia, considering they're the safest from the flood. I mean even Long Ring Long Land got a cameo. Maybe Doffy wants to be above the Mary Geois itself.
@@AstroPeezy Nah they don't. It makes sense as Skypeia is supposed to be a place not many are able to get to and even others speak of it as if it was a place of fantasy
I'm actually hoping Mjosgard's death was an inciting incident for her to start questioning her reality leading her to actually hear Vegapunk's message to eventually be redeemed. I had no idea I wanted this type of storyline so badly so I'm really hoping Oda follows through with it lol.
@@mmem4264 That's a good point, but either way, the war between world nobles seems more likely now, considering that the truth is being held from even the Celestial Dragons!
And it's not too out of the way either. Mjosgard used to have several slaves, and unlike Charlos we never did see anything that made her truly bad. I'm not saying she will, but I'm saying she could be redeemed
I like how everything was so distracting that he didn't even take the time to comment on the Iron Giant walking through Marine forces and them panicking about it. The boy is *doing stuff* people!
Doffy saying just 5 meters, I think, is a subtle way for Oda telling us there are 5 arcs for the final saga. Egghead, Elbaf, Hachinosu, Laughtail, and of course the red line, which means we'll have to go through the new Marineford to get there and that could be the 5th and final island to be destroyed
Saturn's ungabunga approach to technology is actually hilarious. We've already been given plenty of reasons to think his title is somewhat empty, this is pretty damning for him. The breaks are starting to hurt a little...
I felt it curious we haven't gotten a scene of king Riku reacting to the flooding news yet. Given the elevation of the palace in the center of the city and Doffy's knowledge in tandem with picking that location to set up base I feel like there's connected history there.
But every palace and giant tree in one piece world is high. This dont have nothing to do with a flood. Especially that 5 meters is enough to flood most of the world. Living in a high palace in such situation would only lead to starvation. Palaces are built in high places because of military defenses. If Dressrosa palace was enough, them the Donquixote Noble family would not left for Marygeoise. Also Doflamingo choose Dressrosa because it was the land of his ancestors. Not because of a high palace. Since, like i said, all palaces are in high places (because of logic, we dont need to go to flood theories for why that happened), if was only that, he could just have chosen any other location. It was because the Donquixote originally ruled Dressrosa, not because of a high location.
Whilst everything you said about military defense is logical and sound, I just find it curious Doffy to have the exact knowledge of 5 meters required to flood all urban areas. To me a statement like this excludes the high elevated palaces of most kingdoms, Dressarosa being an easy example. I think theres enough threads to connect that the great cleansing the Gorosei spoke of wasnt intended to flood every single kingdom completely.
@@WellDoneOnTheInternetEverybody yes, most, but the worls goverment can use the mother flame 20 more times and flood even Dressrosa. But they could never do the same for Red Line because is thousands of meters high. Red Line is truly the only place safe. And like i said, Doffy choose Dressrosa because it was the land of his ancestors, not because of a flood.
Wait... I think all the Rocks posted already knew! Shiki= floating rock, big mom= can fly and wants to repopulate the world with her DNA like Isis. Kaido= moved to wanna and made Onigashima fly.
The first thing that comes to mind with the acronym A&Mu is the Japanese goddess Amaterasu (goddess of the sun) and her story: one day, annoyed by her brother, she locked herself in a cave, blocking the entrance and causing darkness to descend on the universe. The gods tried in vain to get her out with gifts, but to no avail. The goddess Uzume then started dancing accompanied by the rhythm of the music causing enormous laughter, so intrigued Amaterasu left the cave and the sun shone again bringing a new dawn to the world.
Having a world noble being curious about the void century is very interesting. They live a life without being told no so if she askes what it is and doesn't get an answer she should only be more interested in hunting down the answers.
Joyboy, the First Pirate of the Seas, Sun God extraordinaire! I'm so glad Oda isn't punking us out of the Vegapunk lore drops. Also, who had seeing the Mother Flame for this week's chapter bingo card? I certainly didn't.
The Sea Peoples were the first pirate group in recorded history and they attacked Ancient Egypt. So maybe the story is in reverse, instead of attacking the ancient kingdom, Joy Boy was the first to leave the Kingdom and lead the Sea Peoples
I think the reason everyone believes that vegapunk is dead and that the broadcast had to be made days ago is because egghead has been under siege for like 2 days now, a seige that's been well documented in papers. So everyone already knew his life was in jeopardy
Im late, bute if you see this i have the wild theory. Zunesha flooded a city, maybe even a celestial island. Thats why the celestials all moved to the red line, and why joyboy punished zunesha. He disagreed with the methods. Imagine a super ton elephant dunking next to your island and the tidal waves. Now zunesha is forced to be safe land for ever.
There's gotta be more to the mother flame than just erasing an island. Erasing an island wouldn't cause sea levels to rise, quite the opposite in fact. It may cause them to rise temporarily if enough force is used but eventually the water would take up space in the hole left behind and the water levels would lower drastically. Maybe the mother flame doesn't just erase an island but rather, somehow pushes its mass down, sinking it to the bottom of the ocean, creating a higher up seabed? That would cause sea levels to rise I suppose, would also explain the earthquakes, as the earth itself would have to accommodate for the extra mass. I need more explanation for this, hopefully Vegapunk gives us some insight.
realizing that Luffy is the Sun god actually makes sense in a worldbuilding sense too as he is LITERALLY circling the equator of the one piece world (which shows how oda really did plan this from the start and how the dawn of the world will be when luffy finally goes full circle)
I personally think that the Mother Flame is actually the Ancient Weapon Uranus. If you look at the Cover of Chapter 472 (Enel's Story) you can see a painting of the Mother flame at the top of the drawings. This theory could probably be backed by the idea of Pluton and how it was known as the "World's Worst Battleship" with the inclusion of a ship drawing and how Poseidon was drawn with Sea Beasts included.
@@GourSmith they are literally named after the planets which revolve around the sun. Satellites are celestial bodies which revolve around bigger celestial bodies. Someone must've brought this up already but I can't avoid noticing a HUGE plot hole. There is no way that York knew about Stella's message, cause she would've warned the gorosei. But, then, this implies that Vegapunk must've known that York was a traitor, as she wasn't included in his message. Still, he acted surprised when he realized she was the one who betrayed him. There are only two explanations about this: 1) he knew York was the traitor but didn't want her (and the gorosei) that he knew about it, in order to delay their response 2) he didn't know and just didn't include the most "uncontrollable" satellites (York, Lilith, Atlas) in the making of his message
I'll be honest when I sat the A&Mu on the side of the mother flame's tank my immediate reaction was that there's an Imu for every letter of the alphabet, like BMO and the other MO's
Doflamingo's cryptic line about "going somewhere high up" makes me think about the pole shift theory. The top of the Red Line would be safe if the rest of the world got flooded. Almost like the people who founded Mary Geoise knew it would happen.

Hypothetically they are going full power because they had to be all 5 together to put the straw hats in trouble AND the Gorosei's biggest advantage is their immortality and probably unlimited stamina or else they would've lost instantly
I love how compared to everyone else reacting to when Luffy ends up regretting trying to punch a problem, like when he tried to fight Big Mom in Udon, Dorry and Broggy just genuinely laugh at Luffy’s antics.

My guess is that the Den Den Mushi that's making the broadcast is probably inside the giant robot that's walking around completely ignoring the marines attacking him. What better place to hide it then inside a robot that is virtually indestructible?
So NIKA, the symbol of freedom, was also the first pirate makes sense given how many pirates in the series are pirates for freedom & adventure rather than treasure & power
Sakuzuki and Kuzan are definitely aware of the world sinking btw - their reactions are either them being conflicted, them not being surprised, or a combination of both
The puzzles pieces are there we have Water's 7, Long Ring Long Land, The Red Line, Poseidon, The Sea Kings, The Noah, Pluton, Wano's Boarders. How does it all fit together.
I'm pretty sure Vegapunk's Den Den Mushi is inside the giant robot. It explains why Vegapunk was half-inside of the robot when he first met Luffy. It also explains why St. Marcus Mars can't find the Den Den Mushi. I don't see any other way it could pan out, bc I don't think Oda decided to just put the den den mushi into a clever little hiding space in the control room.
vegapunk has told us where the broadcast is coming from in chapter 1067. its vegapunk himself. he told us that his apple top head is an antenna. i know luffy is keeping a promise by taking him off the island, but if vegapunk has passed, why is sanji still protecting him and trying to get him away from the gorosei? this seems strange. 👀
@@codebracker you think the smartest person in one piece recorded a video earlier, but only decided then to hide the transponder snail last second? im sure that video was prerecorded a while ago, so im sure he planned how to broadcast in the event of his death. remember dr vegapunks one request to luffy was to promise to get him off the island.
The weapon used to destroy Lulusia can't be responsible for the sea level rising because Vegapunk predicted it was going to happen days in advance and Lulusia was only destroyed in a spur of the moment decision to try and stop Sabo from telling the revolutionaries about Emu
A&Mu is one of 3 non-Oda brained ideas: 1. Alpha & Mu, from a mathematical angle = Oda's take for the symbols representing atomic energy/nuclear power 2. Alpha & Mu, from a religious angle = an accepted interpretation for one of the names of Christ, the Alpha & Omega 3. Alpha & Mu, numerically are 1 & 40 respectively, so the number 41 could be a foreshadow down the line for a major event OR whatever Goda decides.
You missed a huge point; No Diddy. Joy Boy was inspired by Nika the God of the giants and was said to fight in the same way. I believe that this is the first time it’s been confirmed that they were two separate people. It also lets us know the giant straw hat more than likely belonged to The Sun God of Elbaf.

To me it seems like the end of the arc, vegapunk giving a joy boy exposition dump whilst everyone gets on the ship to escape, the iron giant starts to rampage to make a distraction and luffy travels back with the giant pirates and fills in the rest of the joy boy lore through the elbaf fables
This is my theory which is that the man marked by flames or man with a burn scar is Jaguar D. Saul who has the last road poneglyph. If you see the current chapter (1114). In the panel where we see Saul, we see the information about poneglyph. Why did oda put him there? For what reason? Which would explain why Luffy's crew is going elbaf next cause Saul is there so they would get the next road poneglyph. Also to think of that, that would also explain why kid was going to elbaf. Coincidence? I think not. In 1081, discussion between Shiryu and Lafitte we got to know that man with burn scar maybe be a government man. Which Shiryu says that it's because no one could get the last road poneglyph. But Saul was also a vice admiral. Is Oda hinting us? This is long shot but we also got to know from Lafitte that man can create vortex which Saul definitely can. So that's why I think Saul is the man with burn scar who has road poneglyph and why kid was going elbaf.
The man marked by flames lives in a ship sorrounded by whirlpools. That dont connect to Saul. Why Saul has to have a poneglyph for the Vegapunk sentence to make sense? He is already connected with them regardless of the Road Poneglyph. And Kidd was not going for Elbaf, he just choose the most dangerous location on the Log Pose just like Luffy. However he won some game against Luffy and does was able to go there. He was not going to Elbaf because of some planning.
@@sonofcronos7831 Chapter 1081 didn't say the man marked by flames lives in a ship surrounded by whirlpools. It said anyone who gets close to it's ship sinks by whirlpool. In latest chapter, I was just amazed by how we saw Saul laughing where we saw explanation about poneglyph. We know he is connected to vegapunk through books and other stuff he discovered from ohara after buster call. Not poneglyph. You might be right about Kidd. But last poneglyph definitely would be on elbaf as that's where Luffy's crew is going and I don't think there would be another island that they go to because we in final saga. But I still think man marked by flames is Jaguar D. Saul.

Once Oda said that when we see a pirate with an eye patch, we will know that the series is about to end. In the recent chapter, we are introduced to Joyboy as the first pirate. What if the pirate with the eye patch is Joyboy? We probably won't see him until the end, which coincides with what Oda said.

Just realized. A joyboy flashback would mean the return of Toki and an explanation of her ties to everything in depth
I think Toki didn't know Joyboy in person because she seemed to know only a vague picture of Joyboy's story.
Toki is from after the void century I think. She came from 800 years ago and Joyboy 900 I think
@@sphinxtan9158 could be that, while it was that time, they didn't call him by that name. Only knew him by his real name then.
@@ZafoolTV so you don't think it's possible she came from the intersecting point in it all. Right as the ancient kingdom had fallen and they were burning all the history of that previous century?
Some theories about the writings that i saw online is:
1. 'and' in Japanese is pronounced as 'to', so the word A&Mu is a pun at 'atom' (nuclear fission, sun, power station, atom, etc.. you get the point)

Well i also doubt skypia is listening to the broadcast as they are their own secluded civilization
Does skypiea have transponder snails? I dont remember
@@AstroPeezy Nah they don't. It makes sense as Skypeia is supposed to be a place not many are able to get to and even others speak of it as if it was a place of fantasy

The idea of another Celestial Dragon being redeemed by Vegapunk's message is amazing!
My theories:
- Imu is going to kill and possibly replace all the gorosei for failing
- Joy Boy's laugh is "di di di di di", hence D.
N o
I imagine Joyboy just has a normal laugh like Luffy cuz the Will of D seems too important to just be Joyboy's laugh.

That is the first official confirmation that the majority of celestial dragons don’t know about the void century
Whats more interesting about Dressrosa is that its built into a bowl, its got significantly high walls to deal with sea level rise.
@@Jmerzio I noticed that too, only Wano has borders similar and we know for sure that Wanos design was intentional
@@WellDoneOnTheInternetEverybody yes, most, but the worls goverment can use the mother flame 20 more times and flood even Dressrosa. But they could never do the same for Red Line because is thousands of meters high. Red Line is truly the only place safe.

dude oda is now answering all questions we have for one piece
The first thing that comes to mind with the acronym A&Mu is the Japanese goddess Amaterasu (goddess of the sun) and her story: one day, annoyed by her brother, she locked herself in a cave, blocking the entrance and causing darkness to descend on the universe. The gods tried in vain to get her out with gifts, but to no avail. The goddess Uzume then started dancing accompanied by the rhythm of the music causing enormous laughter, so intrigued Amaterasu left the cave and the sun shone again bringing a new dawn to the world.

Oda drew The Mother Flame was on Chaper 472 Cover Page, by the way.
Yet again. We return to Skypiea and the Moon.
There's a giant ship also
And on 470, where the Mother Flame is inside the moon. On the chapter 472, the place where it was is now empty.
@@vipulbagde7184 That would be Pluton.
Having a world noble being curious about the void century is very interesting.
They live a life without being told no so if she askes what it is and doesn't get an answer she should only be more interested in hunting down the answers.
It's similar to Gold Roger's One Piece moment
Or maybe the God Knights will shut her up and threaten to kill her
Joyboy, the First Pirate of the Seas, Sun God extraordinaire!
Come on mann, at least use the non-narrator box thumbnail, the illustration is fine but the officials hasnt even out yet
Bro what
This is why this channel is awful
"&" in japanese is pronounced "to" (like toe) So it might be pronounced A "to" Mu (Atomu), a japanese way of saying "Atom"
Or atomic
would make sense in a way, especially since its contained in water? (a liquid at least) so, atomic power, which use steam.
Its always nice seeing old characters like Magellan again
realizing that Luffy is the Sun god actually makes sense in a worldbuilding sense too as he is LITERALLY circling the equator of the one piece world (which shows how oda really did plan this from the start and how the dawn of the world will be when luffy finally goes full circle)
I personally think that the Mother Flame is actually the Ancient Weapon Uranus. If you look at the Cover of Chapter 472 (Enel's Story) you can see a painting of the Mother flame at the top of the drawings. This theory could probably be backed by the idea of Pluton and how it was known as the "World's Worst Battleship" with the inclusion of a ship drawing and how Poseidon was drawn with Sea Beasts included.
or a weapon that uses the mother flame as a fuel
Has anyone else noticed that the mother flame looks just like the fire in the hieroglyphics that Enel discovered on the moon?
Seeing the satellites sh*tting themselves is honestly such catharsis.

They aren’t satellites 🤨🤨🤨 They’re literally autonomous individuals who were born naturally. Just call them by their name.
@@GourSmith they are literally named after the planets which revolve around the sun. Satellites are celestial bodies which revolve around bigger celestial bodies.

@@zockingtroller7788 They aren’t satellites. The punks are quite literally satellites … You’re reaching for a metaphorical use of the word-don’t. The elders aren’t satellites. They’ve never been referred to as such. And they never will.
There are only two explanations about this: 1) he knew York was the traitor but didn't want her (and the gorosei) that he knew about it, in order to delay their response
2) he didn't know and just didn't include the most "uncontrollable" satellites (York, Lilith, Atlas) in the making of his message
I'll be honest when I sat the A&Mu on the side of the mother flame's tank my immediate reaction was that there's an Imu for every letter of the alphabet, like BMO and the other MO's
BMU is on the other side of the world with a dog who they think has the gum gum fruit
Doflamingo's cryptic line about "going somewhere high up" makes me think about the pole shift theory. The top of the Red Line would be safe if the rest of the world got flooded. Almost like the people who founded Mary Geoise knew it would happen.

A&Mu is one of 3 non-Oda brained ideas:
1. Alpha & Mu, from a mathematical angle = Oda's take for the symbols representing atomic energy/nuclear power
2. Alpha & Mu, from a religious angle = an accepted interpretation for one of the names of Christ, the Alpha & Omega

Saul.
