I write everything on my notebook and my brain memorize where the things were in my page when im on a test too!!! this is so funny i thought i was the only one who happened hahahah
marina huaman here, at the University of Bremen, we have an exam for each of the modules we did take. Last semester I had to learn a book with 500 pages (my summary was around 50 pages long) for biological psychology, another book with 250 pages (summary was about 40 pages long) for social structure analysis. For sociological thinking we had 2 texts with 15-25 pages for each lecture and my summary was around 25 pages long to learn for the exam and after that we had to write a scientific housework which had to be 5 pages long. For the module where we learned how to write scientific houseworks we had to write one 5 pages housework. 🙈 So, I think that we have to learn more for our exams and we have to start weeks prior if we want a good grade that Americans (at least what I can see through TH-cam) but you have to do more during the semester. ☺️
Lol, this guilt trips me into studying so much. The amount of work you do makes me want to work that hard. Watching these videos help me so much and I love them. Thank you!! 💖
When i have a test which involves theory, I cannot just read the theory. I need to write it down and, firstable, i need to understand it in my own words. A tip that i have been doing for going trough notes for the second time is to highlight a few words which describe the concept it helps me to memorize and don't over read it because i "think" i know it. Also it helps me to reconigze the concept because i know the most important part of it.

Wow, your teachers and American teachers in general hand you out everything. In my country we’re lucky if we finish in class everything that it’s going to be in out final. Also we like never have multiple choice exams. Always either oral exams or sort of essay-type questions (write everything you know on a subject). And the workload it’s like almost aways hundreds upon hundreds of pages (and that’s with everything summarized). It’s certainly not something you can study in a few days. This would be stu(dying).
I'mm from portugal and it's the same here! Not to undermine anyone's effort because that's what they are used to and I fully understand that but uni would be so much easier and i'd have such better grades if my teachers handed me everything I need to know. Sometimes I have like 40 to 50 page summaries and more than half of it is not even on the exam.

Girl I’m like you where I like to write things down as well. You would benefit so much from an iPad Pro! I got one by using my savings so I could use it specifically for studying anatomy and physiology and other future courses and it is one of my favorite purchases! It’s not necessary but very helpful and convenient!
Okay so I do this thing whenever I take tests REGARDLESS if I actually know the information or not, I freeze up and end up getting way less of a grade than I’m capable of. I think one cause of this could be that I lack all sorts of confidence when taking tests. My brain works the same way where if I write things down it sticks, so I’m going to maybe try this method and hopefully I do better!! Wish me luck😓
