- Welcome back to another Paladins video! This is a stream highlight where I played Imani with a viewer-requested cooldown reset build and the talent Pyromania! Pyromania is a talent that serves to give her a powerful area of effect on her fireballs, but at the cost of 20% of their damage. Having an explosive attack is really powerful, but nerfing Imani's already low dps is not the way to do it. Splitting Ice gives her extra area damage with no downside, but Pyromania does not. This talent needs to have its -200 damage removed, and then it will be great!

I actually am an imani main and I think it's a great talent now is it better than her original talent no but splitting ice is decent and I think her mana rift one is the worst personally I think its cool to get the mana to fully charge fireball and rapid firing ice bolts but you have to sit around to have the mana rift effect personally I run pyromania over mana rift
Do you think if this talent applied a burn effect damage? Would be viable

Maybe give it cc like tyras ability had it or maybe it explodes and creates this little fire lake that enemy's take tick damage from if it doesn't make contact on someone and for mana rift maybe change to something with her stance changing like everytime she stance changes she fills her mana meter little bit and whatever get the mana effect the damage is boosted along with the hitbox size maybe
Pyromania should function like moji's boom boom talent. Keep 1k direct damage, but the splash damage is now 800 damage or lower.

On imani the only problem is that the inferno cannon and dragon breath will decide to not do damage 50% of the time.
There are a couple skins (E-mani/Genesis and maybe the Star Sisters colors???) that change the visual effect of Inferno Cannon into a solid laser-like line instead of the wavy flames.
Since the abilitiy's hitbox is always a straight line and does not wave around, those skins actually help you hit your IC shots! :-)
And the dragon will decide to only go up
i also noticed that hee dragons movement is better and can’t get stuck on PC/KBM, but on console her dragon always gets stuck and sometimes can’t fit in places.
@@gamexpert1990 omg finally someone also noticed that!!! I noticed that some skins have laser-line (straight-line) inferno cannon, while some skins have a wavy and "curved" inferno cannon!!!

Imani main here (yes we exist), I actually have a differing opinion to buff Pyromania? I think it would be too op if a 1000-dmg burst can apply aoe just like that considering how easy it is to land and spam pyreballs on your target location. Not too mention, I'm 100% sure it will make her other talents obsolete since you can just spam pyreballs on the floor for some easy free damage around the corners. I like the idea behind the current Pyromania: you sacrifice some burst for some area damage. It effectively changes her playstyle into a blaster since you're going to want to hit the pyreballs to the floor and walls instead of sniping enemies with it.
The problem with Pyromania imo is the damage fall-off. It's not worth dealing 20% less damage with the pyreball if the aoe only deals like 400-500 dmg every time when you spend more than one second charging it. I would like it if they adjust the dmg fall-off scaling into dealing a minimum of 80% of the damage (that's about a minimum of 640 damage on the furthest radius of Pyromania). It makes her overall dmg output more consistent as the aoe dmg is strong enough to zone enemies off. What do you guys think?
Also, her pyreball dps is actually worse than what you'd shown here. There's a 0.5 sec delay before she can charge another pyreball which means her dps is technically 1000/1.7 sec (588 dps or 470 dps with Pyromania). I'd also like it if they can somehow reduce this delay.
Pyromania main here. I never had an issue with the 800 damage. AoE that also applies item effects is good and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks 1000 would be way too strong (the minimum damage would be 500 since minimum will always be halved by the maximum). Reducing the fall off from 400 to 450 would be a welcoming change. 500 would feel way too spammy and unfun to go against. if people keep crying for an absurd buff, not my problem that you don't know how to balance

But it's my favorite Imani Talent. I do agree that the fireball should do 1000 on direct hit, but reduced damage on aoe. Also, FIX THE DRAGON (and sound bug)
a good way to make this talent more viable, is buffing the time that we take to charge the fire ball, in a similar way to the recurve talent from sha lin
now THIS is a great idea. reduce charge time would be amazing. but admittedly this pyro is better than her previous if you remember how it used to be. i hated that.

You got Pyre Ball's DPS wrong. You didnt count the 0.5s lockout before being able to charge another. Pyre Ball is 588 DPS, and with Pyromania its 470. Lowest in the class lmao, Imagine a DMG champion trying to compete with Ash for lowest DPS
What I think they should do to pyromania is let direct hits deal normal damage
The AoE can still do 800 damage max but why nerf the direct hits? Plus this will make it much more like Splitting Ice, which keeps your normal hits the same and just deals lowered damage to others in the area

The damage loss needs to go. The insane fall off the explosion has will still make it balance
I want to use the talent but it is bugged for me that there it is like a normal fireball but with less damage. It only works in the fireing range
The talent not bad if u playing against team that has Barik and Ying or Ghohk to damage their totem, turrets, clones, etc
They need to get rid of the dmg nerf on pyro talent and then on the other two talents increase the fire rate on ice stance. Literally that is all that needs to be done to make her viable.
New idea combine pyromania and splitting ice into 1 talent. Then make a whole new other talent
Today I had an encounter with this champ that made me not continue to play as her my crosshair was lined up on some enemies but it wouldn't connect I dunno if it was beacause I'm holding down trigger or what but I died to many times beacause of hits not regestrating
I don't think pyromania needs the damage nerf. If I were to buff it I would remove the damage nerf and if I were to rework it I would have it make fire balls charge faster like Sha lins recurve talent

Give a reason it shouldnt have a damage nerf. bursting down a grouped up enemy team with how fast imani can shoot twice isn't balanced champions like dredge shoot slower and can be dodged so why should imani have an instant burst of 2000 damage instead of the 1600 on the talent.
@@Whyvren950 Because its imani, shes not that good right now plus haven vet meta is pushing her out even more, less damage is not what you want in a meta where people take more to die
@@Whyvren950 well that's simple my guy, it's just like anyone else's talent that has an aoe factor. *it's situational.* it's almost niche, it requires a condition, otherwise it's useless. And the condition of grouped up enemies doesn't happen enough to get enough use out of it. Much like moji's boom boom, and bomb king's royal subjects. They're fun when the conditions are met. It's why none of the pros tend to go with these talents

I haven't played imani since that talent did 1k damage in a normal match, so I am surpriced it deals 800 damage now? huh?

I will admit i have more fun with pyromania. It could use a buff.
pyromania is great in the right scenarios, often time in right team comp i prefer pyro over anything else. When you have a team that groups or large shield talents, if you hit a player near the shields it will do damage to the whole group regardless of shield presence. All of her talents should be picked based on what you see enemy talents pick. Her mana rift is probably the most difficult to decide and least picked for me.
I'd like to see pyromania get combined with splitting ice as 1 talent. I also think the fire rate on ice stance needs to be buffed
I always use splitting ice, and every Imani player I have seen uses the same talent

@@ohitsarcangel2182 When you shoot or stand still you'll fill a bar at the center of your screen under your crosshair, when it's full your next fire or ice primary fire will be instant.

She’s 1 of only 2 DPS I bother to play (I’m a support main), so I call myself an Imani main, it hurts that this is her reality. I’m a Splitting Ice exclusive, always been.
I love Imani always wreck with her on console, even if we lose usually top damage 99% of the time
but yeah pyromania is garbage asf. Sadly ice stance is also garbage once they get haven... they should bring old ice stance back. Inferno cannon is kinda garbage these days too lmao she needs so many buffs or reverts it's crazy.
I actually hate her ult even though it's fun I wish they rework her ult. I don't like taking 2 minutes to block my own body from being killed.
So Imani viable playstyle these days is fire and playing long range, and occasional frost bomb. Best to not rely on the alt clicks too much and focus on your primary fire.
i appreciate the speed of new ice stance. they need to up the dmg because she almost never wins 1v1's in ice stance due to damage being low. against tanks the old splitting ice did a lot of work. i could always 1v1 a raum straight on, whereas now i can but i have to spin him in circles and stay in close.
pyro should have the 800 direct and 200 dot dmg with the aoe lol or just put it in base kit and make pyromania the recurve talent making her charge faster

I Used to love the old pyromania man. It was so much fun, shoot a guy, shoot the guy again to bring him to low health and then Pyromania his ass around the corner. That talent made sense. Its just dumbasses didnt know how to actually use it so it turned into this dumpster fire. I really wish it gets reverted.

@@atari8603 no it's not. the old pyro required you to hit 3 times with pyro then the fourth would fire and hit everyone at full damage but if you missed it reset and wouldn't do the area damage until you hit it again.
For me Pyromania is the only good Imani talent, splitting ice does nothing in a 1v1, does horrible damage when fighting 2 people anyway and doesn’t even hurt a whole group. Mana rift is obviously bad as you have to stand still for it. Pyromania, at the cost of some damage, gives you the flexibility of all that splash damage and also still does enough damage to secure kills. I just like playing all the unconventional play styles in paladins though (by unconventional I mean the ones that tend to rank low in popularity)

Pyromania doesn't help 1v1s either though. Technically it hurts you in a 1v1. If you get jumped with a nearly charged fireball you do 200 less damage.
Honestly Pyromania and splitting ice do basically the same thing. They just give you more area damage.

The talent is bugged the fireballs only explode in practice mode not in a real game
I dont understand how manarift gets no love. Its her best talent. You dont have to stand still to get the benefit of manarift. You have to stand still to START the benefit of manarift. After you open the rift, you can move around and still gain all that lovely mana. Perfect for jiggle peaking. I regularly out snipe strix and kenessa with imani because practically instand 2000 dmg with a little jiggle peak.
AND the rift heals you. Not much, but better than nothing.

I wish that was built in her kit because it also makes you easy as hell to find depending on the corner you put it in. And it's annoying having to constantly think about oh i need to set up my rift real quick. I do agree it's her best talent for damage because fire is the only viable stance now but i think that also says a lot about how my lady's talents are just not as good as they should be for convenience.

Imo all of Imani’s talents could be reworked. None of them really change the playstyle. Also I wish that imani remained somewhat conscious while ulting. You leave yourself so open and vulnerable during ult i wish it was that you were rooted to the ground but you remain conscious so that if you get attack you can cancel the ulti and defend yourself. You could even get some percentage refunded that way it can become an ulti you can use more often rather than having to have the planets align so you can use it.
Imani will shout "behind us" if she's getting flanked while ulting but also keeping an eye on the top left corner while ulting will help you know if you're getting attacked

That's the same damage as shalin, and both has to charge for the full damage
If it didn’t take over a second to charge, I’d agree with you. But it has a charge time, so no, 1000 really isn’t too much at all. Her DPS is already on the lower end so I struggle to understand why 1000 AOE is too much for her (other) left click talent.
Also the fact it's a projectile, snipers can contest her with their easy hitscan. Definitely not too strong.
Just fire it early for the better dps!!!
