Fun fact about FGO Herc:
Due to the nature of Servants being summoned by Chaldea, some of their abilities are somewhat hindered in a give-and-take deal.
For example, Karna’s Vasavi Shaakti - which is supposed to be an instant kill - isn’t as strong as it usually would be, but now he can use it multiple times.
Another example is that Herc doesn’t have access to God Hand, so no reviving-from-death-a-dozen-times-and-he’s-immune-to-whatever-killed-him-last bullshit.
Now, here’s the thing, his Bond CE serves as a shout out to his time in the 5th Holy Grail War Crime, specifically his time with Illya. He remembers, even through Madness Enhancement.
In other words, just the memory of his beloved Master is enough to give him the strength to revive himself from death no less than three times even when he can’t use God Hand.

This kinda thing is the reason I love FGO.
I've always wanted to make a Hercules solo video. I've always liked his character a lot and he is very powerful gameplay wise.
However his gameplay is also straightforward and I didn't want to make just another generic Herc solo.
But this boss (without event CEs) was perfect for Herc. He interacts with Herc's skill set in interesting ways. (Also lore hype)
The boss's healing counters characters with low to medium damage, and Hercules is all about consistent medium damage.
However guts cancels the enemy turn thus limiting the boss's healing once you start using Herc's guts. The boss also doesn't heal with it's NP attack.
Thus it's best to wait to NP at 1:14 even if you aren't NP sealed. You want to maximize your damage when you can slow down the bosses healing.

Even beaten down, shoved into an unwitting class, locked out of most of his skills, barely able to think, facing a foe whose acid caused his death in life, and pushed beyond the brink of insanity... Heracles won't lose to the Hydra. Because he's the strongest in the world.
Him being a Berserker is as witting as it can be. Both qualifying and intentionally picking that class when they first summoned him.
It was Centaur Blood that killed him bud. He lived long after he killed the original Hydra.
@@ju-hyokpark2403 The reason that blood killed him is that he just shot the centaur in question with an arrow dipped in Hydra venom. That's the entire point.

If I'm remembering correctly, the author of Strange Fake has been putting off using Avenger Herc in any significant capacity till Nasu get around to making Normal Archer Herc, and seeing as Avenger Herc is kinda imporant as far as I'm aware, It's likely that Archer Herc will come reasonably soon.

Man I remember when I was wiping to the 40 AP Embers because Jeanne was my strongest Servant. I got Heracles with the free 4* and he carried me *hard*

@@Alex-nr4xb I got Jeanne directly after France (Yes, i pulled story, best pull i've ever had). I got Herakles as a free 4* a bit later (around London). Till then i pretty much had Jeanne, doggo (Mash was sadly a tad bit useless until end of Camelot if you have a jeanne) and Emiya carry me through about everythign and anything. Until end of Camelot it was Jeanne and Herakles that did some major carrying. In Babylonia, Mash and Cu (prot) took over the job mostly (Because the game didn't wanna give me an SN-Cu until the end of Baby) with a side of Emiya and Robin, when there were a few Sabers around. And against Solomon.. well.. Cu showed just how cockroachy he can be. :D
I think the last battle ended up with Cu being around 100 hp (yes, it was a close call) and having barely defeated Goetia.
Im pretty sure i solo Goetia with my max bond Herc.. He is my 1st 4star starter servant
I'll be honest, he also bails me out a lot in Arc 2
Jason as Herk's hype man is a nice touch.

It’s always cool to see Herc being used in situation that forces players to use him a bit carefully and make optimal choices.
The healing really counters his normal damage, but triggering guts to limit heal per turn is something only he can do, so this fight is really unique to him. Also the LORE hype.

This was AMAZING! The hydra's regeneration makes it so much like the actual fight between Heracles and the Hydra from ancient Greece, it's the best lore fight I've seen in awhile. He truly is the strongest in the world.

The Son of Zeus, THE OG. Herc must be smiling at the scenario you threw him in, this is basically a rematch made in heaven.

Thank you green for making FGO videos. I enjoy FGO more because you taught me how to use budget servants, because of that I never have to roll for servants like merlin, waver, skadi, etc. I could just roll for characters I like, and it is 10x more satysifying to win with low rarity servants than to win using someone like Merlin. Thanks for making this game 10x more fun.

@@nerox118 I could always borrow a support waver, the rest is Arash, Sparatacus, and Kiyohime. If I need burst damage, we'll get chen gong soon, or right now Im using asterios and Mata hari to burst down raid bosses.

I mean... he’s not immune, just highly resistant to it. Like, if Archer hit him with another broken phantasm, it would likely still kill him, maybe even multiple times, but it would do less damage than the 6 kills it did the first time.
In most comics Doomsday doesn't become immune either. He just need a higher output of the thing that has killed him before.
@@Mr.Monacle It's still immunity, but not the way that people think. For example lets say he has 100 HP and tanks an NP from a A rank weapon that does 200 damage. He would lose 2 lives and become immune to that 200 damage. Now if you were to somehow increase the NP strength damage to 201, he would take 1 point of damage and end up with 99 HP left. This also means that he'll die to the same attack if it were to do 300 damage since 300 - 200 from the immunity still brings his HP down to 0, but he would then become immune to that 300 damage that kills him, and so on till he runs out of lives. Everything that kills him gives him immunity, so you will have to find a way to keep increasing the damage of the attack, or find a different attack altogether.
Don't forget he's straight immune to any attack that isn't rank A or higher to begin with, as in infinite damage from a B rank attack will still do 0 damage to him.
@@Raldavar It was originally described as being immune to whatever just killed him, now he just gains a crap ton of resistance to whatever managed to kill him previously. Outside of the games and closer to the VN, Heracles would come back at full power (seemingly) upon reviving and become so resistant to what just took one of his lives that his opponents would often resort to different attack if possible to get around God Hand. Gilgamesh gets around this because GoB consists of uncountable individual Noble Phantasms inside said Noble Phantasm that could easily be A-Rank or higher.
Example: King Arthur blasts him with Excalibur to kill him twice in one-go, next time it might be lucky enough to claim one life.
EMIYA in the Fate route actually follows this line rather well as he gauges that repeated use of the same techniques are bound to fail which is kind of shown with how he uses different techniques/broken Phantasms each time.
Gilgamesh in the UBW route works around it as mentioned above, using GoB to hit Berserker with several A(+++) Noble Phantasms without stopping and relying on Enkidu to prevent the foe from moving (until near the end.)
Saber Alter in Heaven's Feel gets around some/most of Berserker's lives by just amping up her Noble Phantasm's power after each use thanks to her infinite mana since the latter's just becoming more resilient and resistant each time. Shirou later on uses NLBW which counts as nine simultaneous A-Rank blows at once.

Would love DW to implement special voice lines in battle with some servants in party in addition to just My Room lines. For example; putting EMIYA and Gil together, at the start of the battle Gil would say : Huh? I'm together with this faker?
It's a far fetched idea with way too many voice lines needed for a lot of interactions, but en a dude can dream.

Herc should really have a anti-creature/beast passive it makes sense considering at least two of his trials involved creatures
8 of his trials involved beasts of some kind. The lion, man eating horses, giant man eating birds, The boar, The Hind(Deer), Cerberus, the Hydra, The Bull. Dang, why DOESN'T he have a Beast related skill?
Yeah it's pretty lore accurate most of his trials are fighting giant monsters

Everything has already been said in the other comments. This is the best FGO video I’ve seen in a while.
I would really love a Greek event some of this days focused on Heracles 12th labors, like fighting with a regenerating Hidra, Cancerberus, Creta's bull, Erimanto's Boar, etc, also giving Heracles a rank up quest since his kit is quite odd to the date, Valor could be remplaced with something stronger like Buster up & Buster star gather or NP strenght up, even Battle Continuation could be more related to God's Hand and give him like 3 guts like Nero's Spiritus Invictus
Also seeing Iolas as a servant who can throw fire would be awesome too, at least a 3☆ Archer or something
Seeing as Herakles would even Rank very highly in the 5* department, if he was one, i would not expect him to get a rank up quest anytime soon. He's broken enough as he is. Giving him even more revives would be akin to giving Cu even more dodges.

Here's the funny story about my Heracles: I have a triple invincibility CE, a triple evasion CE and then I have his bond CE in NA, almost feels like the account was made for him so I use every grail I have on him and it didn't disappoint
Those CE kinda represent all the broken ability he should have but in miniature scale now that I think about it
