Watch his left elbow very close, it gets "unlocked" and then "locked" again after a little press-out. On his 3rd attempt (2nd attempt at 214) his left arm didn't shake at all
1:31 I can see why Lu Yong’s 2nd attempt was overruled by the jury I saw a bend in his left arm and then he pressed it out which is a massive no-no in weightlifting
A press out is when you can't get your arms fully locked after the jerk, and have to press out with your triceps in order to have the bar locked out over your head
it actually is, but the rules say you have to receive the weight with your arms locked, and receiving such a heavy load with unlocked arms can lead to injury
Andrei R is one of the best snatcher in modern weightlifting he can snatch like U94 kg lifter but i dont know wats wrong with his Clean and jerk Dimas dominated 4 olympics bcoz he was good at both Snatch and C&J I had a gr8 expectations from Andrei for Gold but hats of to that Chinese lifter
He’s a snatch specialist in training he’s done 193kg. His mechanics are humanly perfect for that lift alone he has broad shoulders, strong upper and lower back, for the clean and jerk his proportions are not really in his favor plus he lacks the quad strength on the clean from what it seems
Still the Armenian world record from the 1980 olympic mens 82.5kg is untouched. Too bad they raised the modern weight category to 85kg, and somehow 'restarted' the records, allowing the world to slowly forget the true (near 30 year old) world record.
kind of their own fault isnt it, different things? india is not even in the top 10 nations when it comes to the olympics, only thing theyr good at is cricket which is pretty much a 5 nations sport australia, NZ, parkistan, england and india

I almost forgot to watch this today
Credit to Lu Yong for getting the gold despite set back and China gave a great Olympics.

The lifter before would've gotten red today.
Eso es nulo porque pudo provocar una ruptura
No, it's 218kg, set by Zhang Yong in 1998
Dimas best was 215 in Sydney, and the World Record in the 85kg category is 218kg.
the record for the 85 kg class is 216 kg of llya llin from kazahastan in qatar 2005
he is immense as good as dimas at his best defo!

que buen equipo tiene china en lev. de pesas
so the technique lu used on his second attempt was void, but it looked exactly the same the 2nd time.
Did you forget Ilyin or something?

What is a pressout?
@1TheRealKingKong1 Same with Tarenko and the Italians 87 and 88 records in the 110+ :(
Dimas best was 212.5 so roybaku 209 NOT WEAK !... i think 214 was near record
It wasn't armenian it was soviet record
Yurik Vardanian could own all these guys around 3 decades ago, and at a lighter body weight lol
394kg thats world record
Lol if you think top level sport is clean today.
It was because of the blatant press out on his right arm....
a bit more regulated than before..
tell me why india isnt dominating
but it was a pressout, so if they hadnt reversed the lift the competition would have been a joke
guys were so juiced back then
less money, they are not big build, diffrent things into there heads then lifting heavy weights
470 pounds. My goal.

LU YON 214 was too easy for him , he could lift lot more so roybaku realy need to snatch 200
chinese is going to dominate and thats all she wrote
@rachel606573 because there life like 1.000.000.000 people lol 1/8 of the world
their fault
Armenia bronze!!
But also 95% have no money to spend on these sports
LOL
they lifted more than the 94kg class lol
