I once met them both in Venice at a large stationary store. While I was waiting to be served, I struck up an inadvertent conversation with a cute, tiny little lady. We were laughing to make the time go by. I introduced myself and she said "I'm Carl Ferrigno" That name meant nothing to me until I saw her husband come into the store to see what was holding her up. She introduced me to Lou and I was deeply impressed with how genuine and down to earth they both were. To them I was a nobody but they didn't try to put on any air that so many famous and infamous people do who live in the Los Angeles Area. God bless them both. I think that they are a terrific duo.
Lou, you're truly a classy guy with charm and sincere integrity. You have that old school way about you, humble, faithful, extremely loyal to wife and family. The amazing thing is you did this all in tinsel town where you're surrounded with temptation and celebrities who's common lifestyle is approaching their 3rd, 4th or 5th marriage. You and your lovely wife are the true role models for those young couples who need to learn the true value of love and commitment. God bless and God love you and your family.. One more thing, I truly thought you were more imposing than Arnold in pumping iron....

I feel so lucky …I’m also married to my best friend.. 21yrs an have two children together! It hasn’t always been easy, if we tif, it never lasts more than 5 min.! We lay in bed an just laugh n laugh until our stomachs hurt! I can feel the envy n jealousy from people when we’re in public, or from guests at home that may get stuck watching n having to listen to our incessant giggling an laughter!! Im so proud to know my kids feel such pride that their parents are the only parents they know…STILL in LOVE an STILL TOGETHER!! I hope everyone gets to experience such unconditional TRUELOVE at least once in their lifetime!

Met Lou at an Auto Rama at Cal Expo in the mid 80's. I'm 6-4 and he was at least an inch or two taller, but what was really impressive was how thick he was when you looked at his side view. I remember how nice he was and how his voice sounded funny. Glad to see he is still a great guy.

Both of them seem to be honest, sincere, well meaning people. It's not surprising that they found each other. May they always be happy together. My wife died from cancer. We were married for 29 wonderful years and I was holding her hand when she passed. I agree wholeheartedly with what Lou said about wedding vows. When you say them, mean them. And f you aren't prepared to mean them, then don't get married.

completely agree about communication..You need to reconnect after disputes or differences and Not wait days or months b4 doing so..we also usually reconnect within the hr..sometimes it may mean stepping out of the room, or go out for a drive, create alittle space so that each may be with ur thoughts and reflect, then you find you can often begin again easily..just alittle space was needed...another thing is acceptance, of self and of the other person..To let go of Any expectations of the other,so that you are at peace no matter how they choose to live their life, there is that respect and of course Love ...ive been with my gf for 25yrs, we arent married ...
