I just also panel lined this god gundam kit like two days ago, it was the first time I’ve ever panel lined well, I felt like I finally got it and this video really helped!!
Was so far apprehensive about detailing my gunpla (in my head give them the fresh on the showroom look) but my Wing Zero needs the detailing to give it the box look , and i may give the treatment to the rest of the ones i have
there's also the pour type panel lining Gundam Marker that is available in grey and black, you just press the tip on a panel line and it automatically fills them up via gravity.
If you plan on using pour type panel liners, don't forget to gloss coat your model first. I haven't tried it yet, but apparently it strengthens your kit and gives the paint more of a surface to stick on
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but a single pen will last me MAYBE 2 Gundam model kits, and then dry or no longer work... and I'm not over doing thr panel lining... they just don't last long in my use
Are these type of markers safe on ABS plastic? I want to panel line a Kotobukiya model that is mostly ABS but the only ones I have are pour-types which I know will just break the plastic 😥
These are totally safe, its the pour type gundam markers that have a bit of thinner in them for the capillary action, which can potentially damage your plastic.
I don't think I have seen a video about Vampire Hunter D that was this indepth. And definitely one that got a little indepth with Kikuchi's other work. I too want to see more of his work get translated.
have this issue too, doing a couple layers seems to help a little but doesn't always work. gonna try grabbing some of the pour ones (but gotta be careful on the plastic since it can break ABS)
I just bought a set of markers today, and this video is exactly what I needed.
I've been so apprehensive about panel lining. (painting in general) Watching you do it helps a lot!

Some of the roughest inking I’ve seen 😂
Do these thinner ones use ink like art fine liners or do they have the same type of paint from the thicker gundam markers?
I've been wasting q-tips like crazy, using my thumb works great ... thumbs up 4 u 👍
Would they work for fixing paint mistakes on regular figures
I use a dry eraser marker. Works just fine.

Some people don't want to Waite for the poir type to dry i personally use both type depending on the depth of the panel line
Reading on this. If you use the fill in stuff, it can crack your model. Be careful with it for sure

PSA: the pour paint will destroy the ABS plastic used for joints, so you absolutely have to use the pour type markers BEFORE assembly
may i ask? this pen will be durable long? i buy a hobby mio lining pen, its no durable long.
best video for this subject! thanks
Do anybody know the difference between the Thin vs Extra Thin Gundam Markers? which one is better, pros/cons?

I bought 12 use today and didn't use it very much today and it's already dried up
Do these run out of ink really quickly

My friend got some regular gundam markers and they ate away some of the plastic of the figure he was customizing. Does anyone know why that happened?
You said figure, do you mean a non gunpla figure? If so maybe the plastic is a different plastic
Is this ZakuArillus??
That’s what I was thinking
I’m gonna dude this for Spider-Man web lines
I'm not sure if it's the location I bought them at, but every time I bought these they last for 2 to 3 minutes before running out of ink.
🙏🙏🙏

I just use my thumbs to remove the it or use a paper towel .
I bought these too and i really hate them. The lines look so soft and cloudy, prefer the look of the pour ink ones more.
