I especially liked how you split the video into two parts, the first being getting the macro into word and setting up your data so you’re all good to go, and the second being a deep dive into how the macro works. This is an outstanding contribution -- it has saved me hours. The only strange thing I found was that if the file I wanted to attach was in the same folder, I would get the message "File Not Found". If I put the same file in a higher folder, the program found it and added it perfectly. Again, I am really impressed with the job you did developing this and explaining the VBA code.
Oh my goodness! This was an incredible video and a great resource. I followed all the instructions and it worked perfectly for me. (I didn't need more than ½ of the features and it still worked great!). This will be a big time saver for me over time. Much appreciated!
@@sukhmanikaur3332 ensure your spelling is correct for all titles. In the beginning I couldn't get my second attachment into the e-mail, turns out I had a typo "attachement", with an extra " e". As soon as I corrected that, the 2nd attachment was added.

Thank you. I was getting errors until I removed the columns in the excel file that weren't being used. I ended up using only: Fullname, To, Subject, Attachment and it worked
This along with it's companion (mergetoPDF) is by the far the best tool/tutorial that is available on youtube and I've seen hundreds. A work of art and beautifully done. Along with filters in 'edit recipients' the possibilities are endless. My life is so much easier now. Thank you @imnoss

My only snag is that when I try to send the emails from the drafts folder in outlook online instead of the desktop app, it doesn't like the format of the email addresses. If I delete them and retype the same address it works, and if I send it from outlook desktop program it works. The reason I want to use outlook online is because of their free delay email feature, which doesn't require the computer to be on to send it at the delayed time. Any suggestions for things to try with the email address format? I've tried semi-colon afterwards, comma, or nothing, and hyperlinked or non-hyperlinked..? Otherwise this is still an amazing time saver thank you!

There were a few hitches but I got it to work thanks to helpful responses you gave other commenters. I hoped you'd have Mac code for this Emailing step but see that's not done yet so I'll subscribe. I wish I could give you my old Mac to play around on! Or hire you :-) Alas, I'm in the States. Hi, have you set up the mail merge for the document? (i.e. click "Start MailMerge" in the Mailings tab). If you have then is that the document at the front when you run the macro?

Hi, Thanks a ton for this tutorial and it worked like a charm. My requirement is to email customized birthday cards to staffs. I want the picture to be inserted in the mail body rather than add as an attachment. Also the email should go on the birthday dates at a specified time. Will you be able to help me ?
RE the image in the signature not appearing in the Draft, try right clicking on the image in the mail merge main document and then on Save as Picture and save it to your computer and then in Word, use Insert Picture and insert the file that was just saved as a replacement for the image in the mail merge main document. Don't ask why.

I want to send from the group email box, but have replies go to my individual inbox. Your talents are SO appreciated :) Thank you
Hi Beth, the code is already set up to add a reply to (I added it after making the video). Simply add a column named "ReplyTo" to your Excel sheet and put the desired email address into that column.
The main reason I generally use (and teach people to use) early binding is that you get full use of the intellisense in the vba code editor. I've also found it generally to be a bit faster and less buggy (inexplicable errors on late bound objects disappear when they are early bound). It only occurred to me after making the video that late binding would have removed the need for the references, but by then it was made...

It works very well, it only does not work with signatures with images in it. after 2 or 3 emails the MS Word app will crash and you need to restart the process
Wow. This is too good. Million thanks for the informative video. Saves a lot of office time. I just found one small glitch. Even while there is no attachment, the outlook sent/draft shows the attachment icon. Is there any way to remove that. (It doesn't affect much, but I thought it would be appropriate to notify so that you can work on that)
UPDATED: Found the issue, user misspelled "attachment" on one of the attachment column headers! Thanks again for this great tool! So far everything is great except only 1 attachment was sent. Can this not sent multiple attachments? I created 2 columns at the end named attachment1 and attachment2 and entered the file paths by copying them from file explorer using the method in the video.

You can, just separate them with a semi-colon like you would in an outlook email.
