Hi Elmalasombra, Thank you for asking the great question, “What does the Minute Pillar mean?”. I think many people, like you, want to know the answer. In the Five Elements of the Yin-Yang theory, scholars like to use the cycle of a plant to explain the cycle of our life. The traditional Chinese astrology chart has four pillars, which are birth year, month, day, and hour. We are told that: The Year’s Pillar contains information about our ancestors (grandparents) and our early age, associating with the Root of a Plant. The Month’s Pillar contains information about our parents and our growing age, associating with the Sprout of a Plant. The Day’s Pillar contains information about our marriage and our middle age, associating with the Flower of a Plant. The Hour’s Pillar contains information about our children and our late age, associating with the Fruit of a Plant. Since life expectancy is increasing, we can try to use a five-pillars birth chart by adding the Minute Pillar. The Hour’s Pillar contains information about our children and our golden age. The Minute’s Pillar contains information about our retirement and our late age, associating with the Seed of a Plant. I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any further assistance. Best Wishes! Hi Elmalasombra, Somehow, I cannot access your last comment due to a broken link on TH-cam. Your lost comment was something like, "I have a dragon in the minute pillar and a rooster in the year pillar. Would this reduce the destructive relationship of the Rooster with the Rat since I have a..." I couldn't read the entire message, so I'll answer part of your question. The zodiac Dragon in the Minute Pillar and the Rooster in the Year Pillar have a harmonious relationship. However, their connection is weak and distant because they are blocked by the Month, Day, and Hour Pillars. Also, the energy of the Dragon in the Minute Pillar activates and influences only in later life. Therefore, its effect on reducing any negative relationship involving the Rooster is minimal. I'm not sure what you mean by the destruction of the Rooster with the Rat. The relationship between the zodiac Rooster and Rat is generally okay. However, the combination of the Rooster and Rat zodiacs forms a destructive cold water element. If your birth chart lacks water, this combination could be beneficial. Best Regards, Allen Tsai
