would you please show in a future video how you fit it into the van? And how you like it after a few weeks of using it? Sure looks like a great way to get around the campground in a small package!
I'm moving to the Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks KOA to live at as a Workamper next week. This was an excellent video, and it has given me even more to look forward to! Maybe I'll see you both in the future if you come back to visit. Safe travels!
Awww! This makes me sooo home sick! I feel so blessed that the Outer Banks was where I was born and raised! I agree, it’s a great place to vacation to rest/relax/reset!! Amazing video as always!! 🥰
Wonderful video! You guys do a great job and go to interesting places. Jason’s candor is so refreshing and is a big reason we trust your reviews. Thanks!
I love the OBX! Going next month and staying in Corolla. Such a lovely, relaxing place to visit! Great video thank you for sharing and glad you enjoyed your time in the OBX!
I live in VA and spend several weeks a year on OBX. Thanks for showcasing Hatteras! OBX is amazing, with 200 miles of shoreline to explore. Here are some geographical facts: Unless you are arriving by ferry from SW of Hatteras, or by boat, you are not on an island until you cross the Basnight Bridge over Oregon Inlet heading SE. Beaches north of there are on a peninsula connected by land to VA. FYI the Pamlico Sound is the name of the body of water on the opposite side of Hatteras Island from the ocean.
Welcome to North Carolina. Oak Island is a very popular place to go in NC now. I live 20 minutes from Charlotte, NC and I am 2 hours to the mountains and 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours from the beach so I am really blessed to have the best of both worlds. I have missed yall, glad to have found you in NC this morning. I have never been to the Outer Banks, and that is really sad because I love the unspoiled beaches. When I was younger you could not keep me away from Myrtle Beach but it has changed and so have I. I prefer a beach that is hotel to hotel, no place to lay on the beach. I had no idea of a dog washing place on the beach, I prefer a beach without dogs taking over, that is just my own personal preference.
When our kids were young, we discovered Holden Beach, NC. (I simply googled top ten beaches in the USA, and it was there!). Coming from Central Ontario, any place where you don't have to wear a parka in March is warm! We would leave late Friday of Spring Break, stop in Virginia for a night, then arrive at Holden for the 1pm check-in. It's low season for them, so we could afford an oceanfront cottage, and I would spend every morning with my coffee in hand, watching the dolphins and the pelicans pass by. Then we'd head the 45 minutes south to Myrtle Beach for some mini-putt or a visit to the aquarium. Holden Beach is also close to Wilmington, which is amazing! We also spent a week one summer in Virginia Beach - our camper literally was backed on to the beach - the sites were skinny, but worth it! We went to Chincoteague for my horse-crazy daughters, and after much searching, saw some in the wild. Memories to last a lifetime!
OBX are beautiful. My wife and I tend to go in the shoulder seasons to avoid the crowds and put tons of miles on driving up and down the coast. Love heading down to Hatteras and the lighthouse. Great shelling just past the point. Another thing that is great about OBX are the happy hours. Not just drinks but food specials too.
SHHHH!!! Quit spreading the best secret of the beaches!! Its really crowded in the summer! We camp at Camp Hatteras, right next door and we try to camp on the sound side, just for the sunsets. We're lucky because it's only a 4 hour drive to go camping out there. Thanks for sharing.
I grew up on the Outer Banks. Kitty Hawk/Nags Head area. It's my home even though I have lived in WV for the last 22 years. I get back there when I can, which is hardly ever. I miss it a lot. If you wanted to see wild horses, all you needed to do was go up to the north end of the OBX by Corolla. Also: it's the Albermarle Sound, not bay.
Oh man…I was looking forward to Myrtle vlogs. We own a second home there! If you go back, stay at Apache Pier and since you ❤ music, check out Captain Archie’s and Murphy’s on the Beach!!
Outer Banks on our list of places to see....we had it planned after a winter in Myrtle Beach to stop on our way back to Canada in the spring...enter covid...no can do...had to return to Canada but we will eventually get back down there!! Great video guys....thank you...viv
Love your channel. Just stumbled across it last week. You both are so fun. Did realize you had children both I honestly thought you both were in your late20s. So surprised you even have grand children. Blew my mind!!!!
KOA is the best campground anywhere! Have been stopping at them since I was a kid, going to Manitoba, Canada EVERY summer! We'd stay on Canadian side or the American side...they are fabulous! Clean, friendly and the amenities are amazing! Check out more KOA's through your journey! Great vlog, guys!!👍
I am a huge fan of the Outer Banks! We normally stay in Rodanthe. A lot of people chose to swim in the sound vs. the ocean. The sound is nice because it isn’t very deep and it is calm. Make sure you go to Ocrakoke before leaving!
Thanks you for visiting Hatteras. A few things to sound like you from around here it is pronounced Body Island, it is Hatteras Island the Cape is for the lighthouse and Seashore, and it is called the sound never Bay.
We are in Balto. but grandkids va beach. I'm more a va beach than oc, md. Didn't like kitty hawk - had to "climb" out of ocean. Took ferry to ocacroke - sand was on fire. We are 3ish hrs from oc, md. Too bad you'll be heading our way & we won't get to meet you two - love your videos. We go to fla end of july to get on Mardi Gras. That ends our 4 cruises a crazy me had booked.
Hey guys next time cross over to Alligator River NWR home of the largest black bears in north America. Some males arew know to weigh as much as 700 to 800 lbs. and you can drive thru it. You might even see an endandered Red Wolf.
Wow beautiful beach didn't know it had such a huge RV park. Isn't it great to have a new fav t-shirt love it. Cool e-scooter. Where you guys going next? Watching you from Tampa FL.
I love coastal NC. I spent 10 years living near there. i loved the high tider accents and the crazy rough surf but it is dangerous surf. A USAF pilot told me the water goes from 50 ft to 1000 feet very fast just beyond the beach areas.
You can't go to obx without visiting hatteras and ocracoke. Ocracoke is favorite place. Even though it's outer banks it's a different world than the northern area
I used to live on the OBX, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills specifically. The beaches are fine, I'd rather the beach in KH and KDH more. But my favorite ever beach and favorite place on the planet is Fort Myers beach. The banks, as the locals call Hatteras island, are ever changing and the home of spectacular ocean storms. Also it's a sound.
From the beaches you’ve shown, I would pick Anna Maria for the water. The sand at the AL/ FL Gulf is a beautiful white - but I like the dunes there in NC. I avoid the Atlantic (maybe it’s the waves and riptides) but love walking in the beach at sunset. The Eastern- facing beach on Hilton Head was perfect for that (just like your choice of ocean over bay) thanks to a very deep, flat beach with compact sand. Favorite all-around beach? Trunk Bay, St John USVI. But Ellie 2 can’t get there. They do have cabins and tents, though, at Cinnamon Bay. Virgin Islands National Park. Another postcard and passport stamp.
Anna Maria is tough to beat. The Outer Banks are great though. Dog friendly, laid back, no big hotels... You should have skipped Myrtle and went to Pawleys Island instead. Love your videos!
We used to vacation outer banks for quite a few years kids were younger liked Duck I will say the water is dangerous and lots of rip tides my son actually saved a guy once it's a bit too much for dogs with the Tide but it's great area to experience
Wondering if Cape Hatteras has handicapped beach access? I like St Simons because they do! Love this adventure ❤ How does Jason keep the bike safe from being stolen?

Oh wow! I bet that is going to be an amazing experience! Please keep us updated on our FB page!
Please go south a little bit more and go to the island of Ocracoke. It’s a short ferry ride but you will love it. ❤️
Awww! This makes me sooo home sick! I feel so blessed that the Outer Banks was where I was born and raised! I agree, it’s a great place to vacation to rest/relax/reset!! Amazing video as always!! 🥰
I agree the relaxed way of life is a perfect beach vacation listen to the sound of shore
Another video I will add to my travel destination list!! Thanks for showing this great place!

This looked just perfect. Will have to add to my short list of places to visit. Enjoyed the vlog! Thank you
Wow that is the best beach campground for sure and I am putting it on my list! ❤❤
My family and I grew up going to Ocracoke!!!
We were at OBX a few weeks ago. Its our favorite beach. Thanks for sharing, OBX doesn't get the love it deserves.

Please do a group cruise!! I would love to meet yall!! Especially for my first cruise...at 51 and single! Love Yall❤❤
We love the hot tub no matter the season or temperature lol It's best at sunset with a nice breeze though 😊
We plan on going to obx for a trip next year. It looks amazing from what you’ve shown already.
You guys should go to Cape Lookout National Seashore. Beautiful!!!
Beautiful! Love this place…now I want to go 😊

OBX, Carolina beach Kure Beach and Myrtle Beach are my favorite in NC. I have lived in NC my whole life.
I love Lauderdale by the sea n FL also.

😂😂😂😂😂
I love that it doesn't feel as hot and that campground!!

Fort de soto, north beach is the best beach! Beautiful clear blue water with so many dolphins!
I live in Hampton VA 90 miles away my first trip was with my grandparents in 1960
Definitely a favorite 🤩
Outer Banks is my jam

You should have checked out Ocracoke Island. There is a free ferry. Lots of history and some nice beaches.
Love your channel. Just stumbled across it last week. You both are so fun. Did realize you had children both I honestly thought you both were in your late20s. So surprised you even have grand children. Blew my mind!!!!
Great video ❤❤❤❤
So sorry you didn't blog Myrtle Beach. I'm in North Myrtl3 and would have loved to see your video,

OH THE KOA! THATS WHERE ME AND MY HUSBAND HAD OUR HONEYMOON! 😊 Very special place!
Great video!
Anna Maria will always be my favorite
Thanks you for visiting Hatteras. A few things to sound like you from around here it is pronounced Body Island, it is Hatteras Island the Cape is for the lighthouse and Seashore, and it is called the sound never Bay.
Should have gone to Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach instead of Myrtle Beach!!!

Sometime you need to see a real wave

Will you be going back to SC would love to know what you think about the beach there.😊
Portsmouth Island for a day trip.
FYI, it’s not called the bay. It’s the sound. 😋. There’s the ocean-side and the sound-side.
Really? Hmmm never heard that before 👍
@@EECCTravels Yep, down there is Albemarle Sound and Currituck Sound and Roanoke Sound depending on what part of the OBX you’re at. 😀

You should keep going north to Cape Henlopen State Park in DE. Another Campground on the beach!!
North Carolinian here. I'm glad you enjoyed the Outer Banks. Please stop telling people about them. We are at max cap.
Come back to South Carolina! We were looking forward to y’all staying here and to watch your video 😢
You're in my home state!
You need to go to Cody Wyoming KOA. Billings Mt was the first KOA founded in 1962. Look that up, and go visit it.
Hoping to catch you guys in one of my fave places, Ocean city !! 🤞🏻
Been to all those beaches live in Sav and hands down overHHI and Sav
WELCOME TO MY STATE!
Anna Maria is tough to beat. The Outer Banks are great though. Dog friendly, laid back, no big hotels...
You should have skipped Myrtle and went to Pawleys Island instead.
Love your videos!

Wondering if Cape Hatteras has handicapped beach access? I like St Simons because they do! Love this adventure ❤ How does Jason keep the bike safe from being stolen?
If you have a four wheel drive vehicle, you can drive on the Ocracoke beach and camp.
How cold was the ocean water?
wonder if those waves and wind are normal or if a storm coming in
Got the worst sunburn of my life on a beach in North Carolina when I was a kid. It was WICKED! 😢
Where is the dog😊
Great video! Hate to be that guy but it's Definitely.
Loved our trip to outer banks last summer? How far north are you heading? Goose Rocks Beach outside of Kennebunkport is a must for a beach tour!!
Outer banks have wild horses extremely north end area
Is this Koa expensive? The one I pulled up online says $240 a night. Yikes.
It’s not cheap to camp on the beach! It’s a splurge 🤙
@EECCTravels and it's so worth it!
How much per night for pull through site
Tried inquiring on the site, they make it tough to find out
I would just give them a call. Rates will vary by the time of year too.
👍!
Could you get me some stick butter and a bag of potatoes tomorrow?
When I was a kid there was hardly at the outer banks.
I meant there was hardly anybody there. It was not like how it is today.
Let me know when you are coming to md start park I live about 2 hours away if it is okay will meet your there my name is rick
Taylor Jose Martin Dorothy Gonzalez Brian
Why is like pulling teeth trying to get the rates
What rates are you talking about??
Good to see some Americans putting out some positives videos ,soo much negative stuff on TH-cam and don't mention anything electric
Awesome video!
