The morning started out very rainy, and it didn't look like this was going to work. By afternoon things cleared up and it was nearly perfect weather by concert time. Great memories of this day.

My favorite Tabernacle Choir concert of all time - the scene is perfect on the heights overlooking the Hudson River with Cadets, cannons, fireworks, and of course patriotic music. Brilliantly done!
I bet that was such an experience to be singing the Army’s part is the Armed Forces theme’s and to have those at West Point singing back to you! I bet it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and also unforgettable. If you have ever watched the movie about this tour, the choir wasn’t told were they were going till they were on their way up to West Point. They had been doing an North-East U.S. tour and it was one location that wasn’t told at the beginning of the tour.
I am so glad we have the recordings from 2019 and before now that the choir is not performing live due to Covid19. I wonder now how long it will be before we meet again? How ever long that be, God be with you!

Follow the precedence set by America’s Founding Fathers. Cast off the shackles of tyranny that breeds commotion, death, and destruction in all lands and nations across the globe. Make government of the people, by the people, and for the people a standard for all lands and nations. Celebrate freedom and defend independence and fight for fundamental human rights and living in all lands and nations. That’s what celebrating the Spirit of ‘76 is all about.
