Nice demonstration. What would be really amazing is to have a transition interval to set the time that one snapshot can "morph" to another, sort of what the old Lexicon Vortex was able to do. Having the Snapshot 2 that you set up take say 30 seconds to morph into Snapshot 3 would be supremely useful.

That would be cool! There’s no way to do that at the moment but let me have a think about how you could achieve that kind of morphing effect.

i agree wholheartedly. was hoping that would be a "tails" setting that allowed you to designate the length of the fade out of an alg/snapshot/effect over the new one. i could see this working ok if you have your 2nd alg set as a reverb or something that would kind of mask the abrupt change.

Great video! Been using the H90 since almost one year and it works really well overall.

Your videos have been super helpful man thanks. Question about using snapshots with external 3 button control foot switch. Do you know if I would be able to set hot switches (snapshots) to the 3 buttons on the external foot switch control, and still be able to access the snapshots without going into performance mode? I’d like to be able to stay in bank mode so I can easily switch to different programs or even programs on different banks relatively easily, while still accessing snapshots on the currently used program. While I know that I can assign the external controls to the snapshots, my question is, do I still have to be in performance mode for those switches to activate a snapshot? Or will they still activate the snapshot while in bank mode? I hope that question makes sense, and I appreciate any feedback you can give me.
I would also be super interested in your take on efficient ways to utilize the external controls with a pedal and/or 3 button foot switch, or 2 pedals or two 3 button foot switches. And how these controls can be used in conjunction with midi, or in place of midi control, or leaning specifically into midi control and not using the external control options. I am interested in how these external controls can be used to unlock greater control over the unit. I have never really used midi before, so learning from experienced users is helpful. Thanks again. Cheers!

These are good questions but I don’t know the answers I’m afraid. I don’t use the H90 with midi or with a foot switch. Hopefully someone else with an H90 can provide the answer here? I’d like to know too.

Hi Do the different "snapshots" also include changes to different "insert" conditions? if so this would make things truly flexible with snap shot one which also that includes insert 1 (but in a "Bypassed" state then "snapshot #2 hot-switch includes insert 1 but now engaged "active" (on say preset one (or "A")...then snapshot "3 hot-switch then engages insert 1 (but active/engaged) and now affecting both presets A AND B (of original program) So what is happening is Each program has two presets and each of those presets parameters can be modified @30 different ways and also each program has two possible inserts with several possible locations and also each insert can be programmed to be engaged Or bypassed...and this is all handy when it finally comes to "snapshots" because each snapshot is a recipe of different presets, parameters, inserts (and their "active/bypassed states), then finally all the a-fore mentioned now to include "snapshot" hotswitch variations.............. IS that correct???

Yeah sounds like a good idea but that's not how it currently works. The insert / routing can't be allocated to a HotSwitch snapshot. Once you have chosen a snapshot, you can mess with the routing but it can't be done automatically.

I know Eventide stuff isn't cheap, BUT £1000, Naw! that's just too much. If I had that sort of money to spend, I would buy a new Synth or a groovebox, or even another Eventide unit and a synth. Sorry but I just can't get past £1000 for an effects pedal.

it's two effect pedals in one box

Yeah it’s pricey. The way I look at FX pedals is that they take a synth I already own and make it sound like a completely new instrument. And if you can ‘play’ the pedal too then that’s another layer.

By all intents and purposes this is an Eventide Eclipse but in a pedal package. The original Eclipse was quite a bit more expensive than this and still fetches handsome secondhand prices.
You could of course put this in a 19" box that's mostly empty inside - but why would you?

The Bluetooth issue of the H90 bothers me a lot….I feel like if I buy, all support will fade away.

If the Bluetooth connectivity is important then I would hold off buying for now. I’m sure it will come (as it’s on the H9) but never buy a product in the expectation of a future update. Been burned before…
