    This honestly makes me want to sell my Super 73 S2. I can likely get around $2k for it and spend a couple hundred more and get this which has: rear suspension, Turn Signals, larger seat, Larger battery, higher top speed, metal fender, better display, mag wheels, 4 piston brakes. I mean... come on. This thing even has the option for a $100 basket! My S2 is make with such cheaply made comments its embarrassing how much they cost.

      I almost pulled the trigger on a Super73 until I read alot of complaints about their customer service. I don't know much about these bikes so I figured going with a big brand name would be a "safer" bet. Considering I could have Best Buy ship it and assemble it had me leaning that way but in the short time (about a week) I've spent shopping I've found ones that seem better quality for the same price if not cheaper.

      Get an eye on the Ariel Rider X-Class as well if your in the market for an upgrade! Ride1ups bike seems to have better looks and accessories than the x-class. But it appears the x-class has way more power and torque for the same approximate price if that's important to you.

      Theres definitely a lot of competitive offerings right now and its unfortunate that a $3300 (not even including shipping and taxes) S2 doesnt even have rear suspension by default.

    I love the look of the Super 73, but at 6'2", I had to go with the Revi Bike, which is much larger, and looks like an old Indian motorcycle. The Super 73 reminds me of the mini bike I always wanted as a kid. That Revv bike is awesome! I'd be happy with it, for sure.

    Awesome looking bike. I’ve followed some deals down the EUC route, and can’t see going back, but ebikes have a lot going for them. I would absolutely love it if people get out and replace some errand runs not driving a car. If it goes in a backpack and is less than 5 miles, I’m not driving unless the weather is terrible. I can see this being a pretty solid option for fun and practicality.

    • @TheGreatest1974
      @TheGreatest1974 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good comment. Are these bikes legal to ride on the road? What licence do you need?

    • @Nemonurwingy
      @Nemonurwingy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheGreatest1974 Technically, a street legal ebike isn’t supposed to go faster than 28 mph where I live (it’s supposed to cutoff all assistance, you can go faster if it’s downhill and gravity is causing that). I think this one will go a little faster than that, so technically it’s not “legal” but unless you’re driving crazy, nobody is going to notice or give you problems. My EUC is not allowed to be operated legally at more than 25 on public roads, but if I go 35 to get past a busy stretch, it’s never been a problem. I live by a police station, they have seen me many, many times. No license, no insurance.

    i weigh like 280lbs and this bike has an impressive 400lb weight capacity, whereas all other ebikes i see cap out at 300 or 325lbs, which is a bit too close for comfort for me, as i wouldn't want my weight impeding on the function/speed of the bike

    This thing looks bad ass and well-made. I'm just starting to research these bikes so I don't know much except knowing I want one lol. I would have pulled the trigger already but I can't figure out what's legal and what isn't. I live in Mass and from what I can find anything under 750w are legal and able to use sidewalks, bike lanes, etc but I keep getting contradicting info. Unfortunately, I live in a small town where the cops have nothing better to do so I'm nervous about spending $3k and getting stopped my first day riding. I could get something that looks more like a mountain bike to blend in a little better but that's not what I want. I think if I keep it under 20mph until I'm outta town I'd be alright but at $3k that's a big risk. I might have to get something cheap and see what their reaction is and then upgrade if everything goes smoothly but that means throwing away a $1000 just to figure out the "law"...sorry for the rant

    I guess its more of a bike than an actual motorcycle, I've used their older ebike model and their are reliable. Electric motorcycles are like +10k atm for a quality one and I hope they drop a bit in the next 5 years would love a real built with +20 HP and a horn thats at least 80 decibels, better suspension, turn signals, etc. Something that will make me feel safe on the road at higher speeds.

    It’s a nice bike, a lot of moped style e-bikes are cheap super 73 clones but this is a unique and thought out bike. My favorite feature is the loads of space to mount a second battery easily. The metal rims are great as they provide low maintenance. I still think Ariel rider X class is the best super 73 alternative, it’s better than the super 73 in fact when it comes to speed and acceleration. Ride 1 up has 90nm of torque while Ariel rider is 110 nm so I definitely think ride 1 up missed out on having a 1000W motor peak 2000W just like the x class.

    • @khanrides

    I like the style and ease of assembly of the bike from what I can see, but I am also about mods that can be done to the bike to. For instance going from a single speed to a stacked cassette for more speed and better hill climbing stability, also add an all wheel drive version of this car bike. I would make the suspension also a little more heavier duty for people who are carrying more personal weight and I was thinking that if the open area under the seat was larger and accessible move the battery there and make it so that the bike can be made a hybrid style bike ( gas and electric ) for longer rides also if the motor was quiter it would make a greate hunting bike. Also what is the price tag of this bike?

    looks good, but i have another ebike with this same bafang wheel+hub motor assembly, and i find them to loud. the S73 motors aren't silent but better than these. looks great for the price but S73 still beats everyone on style.

    do a review on the G Force T5. its folding and goes 34 throttle only. ive had the T42 and now the T5. at a price point of 1300 dollars, its the BEST on the market for the price. ive also laid her down and even hit a cable at 32 mph and nothing more than some scratching to the frame. im telling you, get it!

    I don’t care about how fast you can pedal that single speed bike for five seconds, show me the throttle only speed. If you want to add a front motor, how do you do it with those wheels? I agree it should have a 1000w motor because it looks great.

    • @Andrew-vt4jt
      @Andrew-vt4jt ปีที่แล้ว

      This bike goes faster than the bikes we have reviewed with 1000 watt motors. I was able to get it up to 31 mph with throttle only like I mentioned in the video, and probably could have gone faster if I tested it on a straightaway.

    • @Andrew-vt4jt
      @Andrew-vt4jt ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the same motor so it should be the same speed. And yes a hard tail should be fine in neighborhoods and bike lanes. Wear a helmet!
