Brunch at Burrow's Cafe | Antipolo City, Rizal | Philippines | We.Are.Wanderful

2023-07-08-To celebrate our “wander girl" Lara Marielle’s twentieth birthday, our Wanderful family went to Antipolo City. Their first stop (for brunch) was The Burrow’s Cafe, an underground café built by artisan builder Vitty Gutierrez with its kitchen led by Chef Danilo Puga II.
The cafe, located within Beverly Hills Subdivision in Antipolo City, is a fast-rising star, its popularity fueled chiefly by Instagram and Facebook posts of social media savvy guests. To access the cafe, guests need to descend 95 steps down from the gate. Down the steps, a nondescript entrance goes underground, where a door opens to a lush space with large panel windows that open up to the surrounding greenery.
Burrow Café is nature-inspired, with its natural ambiance and delicious, seasonal menu. It offers all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch menu and set hours.
The Wanderfuls thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Food was generally good. Very tasty, with some unique flavors here and there. The mashed sweet potato was a standout and offered the biggest surprise.
By the way, for those interested, food at the Burrow is a bit on the pricey side, but fair. If you are planning a visit soon, be prepared to spend 700 to 1,000 per person. The servings are quite generous so you may want to share orders to save on the bill.
Very important: Make sure to call in your reservation as the place is almost always full. They do accept walk-ins if and when a table is available, but your stay will be restricted to strictly an hour only. They won’t be shy in reminding you when it’s time to go.
After their meal, the Wanderfuls went to explore the cafe’s backside, where a manicured pathway leads to a rivulet. Downstream, the sound of rushing water suggests the possibility of a small waterfall.
Since it was her special day, our “wander girl" Lara Marielle indulged herself in the moment, and had dozens and dozens of her photos taken all over the place.
