well anime is drawn frame by frame in bigger detail, but this leads to the animation not being as smooth as it can be due to the limited time animators have to make an animation. although sticknodes has less detail, it’s smoother and every frame is not hand drawn. also, this animation was made for fun, or to educate some people, they don’t need to have it done on a deadline, he can take however long he wants. although this factor does not necessarily affect this too much -due to an animation on sticknodes regularly taking an hour or two- there is still the fact that the reason why its smoother is that sticknodes only needs to change pose, rather than draw a full frame from scratch. this leads to sticknodes having a higher chance of smoothness over an anime. hope this helps.

angle it. the arm in front faces back a little, covering the body, which is facing forwards. thus, the body looks like it's getting larger as it goes down, when the other side of the torso is just covered by the front arm. same with the back arm, torso covers that. hope this helped
