I like to imagine this is an alternate universe where mark ignores cesars call or doesnt go to his house but eventually the alternate finds him and tries to kill him. And mark running at the beginning before he sees it implies he already felt a presence stalk him and became paranoid.
I’m late by a week but after analyzing this 1 time I’ve come up with some bit of lore. In this Universe, Mark Heathcliff is an actor and was doing a scene for a movie before what the movie was about turned out to be a trap by the producers who were Pure Form Alternates. So Mark is acting for the first 2 minutes until he realizes he’s actually in danger, crying in a room he thinks is locked. Little does he know, “Cesar” was the smarter one of the Alternates on set and uses his convincing to make Mark think it’s actually Cesar. Then as Mark starts shooting. He makes it clear there is no escape, pulling Mark into the depths of knowledge that was never meant to be spoken. Leading Mark to ACTUALLY go M.A.D, and he just um. Unalives himself. The Alternate producers use this for a short film and it gets broadcast everywhere. That is my attempt at lore lmao
ye but in the beginning its just mark healthcliff but then he sees the EXACT SAME clothes that he wore and he runs i would too and really it was a alternate and hes just playing with his prey to induse more fear before mark well unalives himself, HOWEVER he would have suffered more if the alternate got a hold of him so really he just put a end to the suffering.
my favorite part of this is not the live action segments, nor is it the absolute heat you cooked for us. no the best thing about this is SOMEBODY FINALLY ADDED THE GUN RELOAD SFX THANK YOU SO MUCH AHHHHHHHH

Cesar, one of his friends had followed him when he went to run through the woods by Mark's house, due to Cesar being absent minded. Never thinking anything through. Cesar came back later than usual, talking and acting weird. They went back inside and Mark went upstairs. Cesar started to coax Mark to come out, when Mark turned on his phone and finally learned of the alternate situation. The rest? Just watch the video.
Lore in a nutshell: Mark meets a mirror, with literally nobody on a busy street seeing, becomes an idiot and runs back home instead of a police station or so, goes insane when at home, hits box, shoots self and goofy ahh mirror leaves.
