The actually sell them for $20 while still last
It kindda hurts a little inside seeing this busses which I used to ride getting scrapped but well the parts will give birth to new busses for us to use in the future I suppose haha

I don't know how other countries scrap their buses, but in Singapore, this is the best way to scrap an old bus. Just an excavator with a pair of mechanical claws fixed can simply destroy a huge bus and convert it into scrap metal. If this is not strong enough, another larger excavator will be used with a giant cutting shear fitted to it.
That's my favourite double decker bus :(

Incredibly they did not discharge all the pressurized components of the bus. Notice there's loud hissing sound from 19:00 onwards, a charged cylinder could explode and injure the operator and surrounding workers.
This frickin' beast (particularly the 9324H because I rmb correctly I sat on it) is going away pretty quick. Its A/C was good, seats were still comfortable..... looks like alot's getting scrapped here!
If its still here and not scrapped, I will take the air con for you

It's kinda sad seeing them destroy such a beast :( Why can't they just make an SBS Transit museum of retired and decommissioned buses? That, at least everyone can still see the good old buses they once rode when they were still in service. Also the SBS bendy buses that once were on Service 18, I miss them! Why did they sell them???

Not just SBS, but SMRT as well! They should have not scrapped Asia's first bendy bus! (TIB838H)
one more thing, smrt should also set up bus museums and maybe some of those old trains that are still in commissioned but set it as a museum for us to see

guys maybe some of u guys noe but what i researched is that there used to be a 4-car configuration C151 on the NSL apparently 2 cuz 1 is used in one of the SCDF for training while the other was used in the ITE on the west (not sure if it's still there) FastCarsNoRules220 SupercarSingapore Devil_Killer_12
why scrap when it can be donated to the SPF, SCDF or SAF training like how they are currently using ?

Btw Maxson, i know this place. How did you get entry and permission to film? I once entered this yard to ask something and saw a Dennis Lance getting scrapped. We need more of such videos for memories.
I just went in and asked for permission to film a bus for a memory project :)

when i go to school there were regularly a Volvo B9TL CDGE and an Volvo Olympian but they stopped coming. i already knew where they went....

the CDGE and this olympian should not die off that fast. Come on LTA,since the bus is in good shape, extend its life for 10 years. We are trying to preserve history not consider this bus as a safety hazard.
Not about safety, is because overprotective of the environment. Electric by 2030.
