    Nxe5 is the solution at 10:28. If white plays 1.Bxd1, Bxf7+ 2. Ke7 Nd5#. If he doesn’t take (let’s say 1. dxe5), Qxg4 wins a pawn.

    I think the winning continuation is Nxe5 after bishop takes queen
    It's Bxf7,Ke7 then Nd5#

      Hm...Good........But what if Black does not take the queen, instead he/she takes the knight with d6 pawn? Then queen takes the bishop and d4 knight takes White's pawn on c2 with an attack of capturing the a1 rook....Now, what is the evaluation? Who is better actually? I'm confused....!!!

    In Trap 2 (the a3 gambit) why can’t black move bd6 to prevent the family fork?

    • @JMTavares7
      @JMTavares7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm surprised he brushed over this, often he'll skip actual good moves for the opponent in these "omg amazing traps" however Bd6 is no escape for Black here. you can actually develop another piece for free Bc4. Black can't take it because now Nxd6+ wins. They'll have to Play Qe4+, then you play Ne2, they'll spend another move putting that Bishop on d6 which is attacked away, and now White's lead in development is obscene.

    The puzzle that's offered at the end of this video is probably faulty. "Probably" because although the best move Nxe5 seems to have been found by most comments to this video, it doesn't lead to a certain outcome but only a strong winning position that might lead to an actual win.
    I plugged the game into Stockfish and confirmed what I suspected...
    Black of course can't take the Q for every reason one can imagine.
    But both the moves Be6 retreating the hanging B and blocking the attack on his F7 square and the move dxNe5 lead to positions adjudged more than 3 and less than 5 points advantage. Until you can achieve a 5 point advantage maybe all roads lead to Rome but there's still a lot of work to do and nothing is completely certain.
    So, although Nxe5 is a "star" move, the combination isn't quite as decisive as most combinations offered in this channel.
