Yep. I discovered her back in the 70’s I tried to turn every one to her. When I first heard her I thought, “She is the female version of a Hank Williams. Authentic, emotional, and one of the best writers ever.”
You have the most amazing voice !!!! I love “older girls” with guitars!! I’m an “older girl” that plays guitar too!! Would love to play and sing some harmony with you!!!
I used to go hear Marshall Chapman down here in Chattanooga back in 1978. She was a fantastic singer songwriter, her energy comes right through the music that she plays.
Better late than never.....as they say. Just proves that You are the best kept secret in Country Music. Hopefully no longer!!! Marshall Chapman, You are amazing: witty lyrics with a lot of forethought and wisdom! And also performed with a lot of humor!!! The gentleman introducing Marshall Chapman is Paul Chrisman aka Woody Paul. I was also a freshman at Vanderbilt with him. We were both engineering students. He was a brilliant student who earned a PhD in Physics at MIT. I have been following Marshall Chapman for years. I believe her presentation of "I Still Miss Someone" is the only performance that I have heard by a female that can compare with Johnny Cash's performance.
I heard you for the first time last week on an episode of "Songs at the Center" on PBS. You sang "Goodbye Little Rock and Roller", a great song. Congrats on your Opry debut!
Love Ms. Marshall! Been following her for almost 40 years. Always makes me smile. ❤️

Thanks. Like Waylon said I can jump as high as I always could, I just can't stay up as long!
So typical for Marshall Chapman: Always making room to pay tribute to her friends whenever she can. We love you, Marshall!!

Great fun to be in that movie. Gwyneth, Tim and Garrett were so supportive.
