Fun fact:if you dig around the files in the game, you will see that the intro part for both this song and the colbalt valley theme song are seperate sound files from the rest of the song, which probably has to do with the fact that you dont hear those parts in the in-game loop, hence why this doesnt apply for the theme songs for the beach, the forest, and the desert areas.
