Keith was like a prophet sent to wake up His sleeping church in the last century. In this century God has sent another like him with a gentler yet powerful voice: "O Church Arise!"
VERY INTERESTING YOU SAY THIS! God definitely had other plans for Keith Green. Had he pursued Secular Rock, He Would have Been Right their with Elton John and Billy Joel. Keith, actually did more fly finger Movements on the Keyboard, like Billy does, more than Elton, However he Was a Blend of similarities of their piano styles. We truly lost him way to early. I still cant believe, the Pilot didn't realize the Plane was over Loaded; Staying airborne about 30 seconds before crashing. Finally, it's pretty sad, the Gift God Gave to Elton and Billy.... and among others, and they Refuse to have anything to do with their Creator. Elton John once said, he can't explain how he can Write the Music, it just comes to him. Well we know where that gift comes from !!
I get that. I've always hated Billy Joel's song Only the Good Die Young. I believe we are all born with special qualities. We just don't know what they are until we take an interest in something. It could be the artistic hand to draw or paint. Or the vision to sculpture something beautiful out of wood or stone. Or it could be a magical way of weaving words in poems and songs. And of course it is music! We are created for all of these things and more! Learning these things by books and the experts only helps us to tune into the finer details of a craft. And yet people out there think it's all on their own. But everybody needs somebody! And we all need God.

I was there too! I was just a kid, was with my mom sitting on a blanket near the front.
