So a special holiday themed SAGE has emerged, and from what I've heard this is a limited time/one time only sort of thing, never to happen again. Now of course I wanted to show love to Noah from much of the enjoyment and creativity of Sonic Triple Trouble 16-Bit with now a new and anticipating fan game that's in the works. Finally, someone giving this game the respect it deserves.
This looks incredible. If Sega released this on the 32X, then there would be a real reason to own the add-on, or better yet turn it into a 3D game for the Saturn so it could have some competition with Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing and the PS1’s racing games
Better on the Saturn, have you seen how Core Designs' B.C. Racers runs in 32X? XD
BC Racers is garbage, Street Racers on Saturn is what this game should had been like.

I already known there was a 16 bit of sonic drift because of a sonic triple trouble 16 bit sound test Easter egg, you can find the code in sonic triple trouble 16 bit sonic retro page
It's really awesome to see the Game Gear Sonic games get some 16 bit renditions. Sega, Sonic Team, you really lucked out on a Mario Kart 16 bit competitor for the Genesis. This is amazing.
So glad Noah decided to remaster one of the other 8 bit games and make it similar to the Sonic 3 design language (like we saw with Triple Trouble). Almost had a feeling it was him because everything looked so complex and detailed, although it's still in its demo phase. Great walkthrough today JP and I hope to see this completion of this project 💯

The Green Hill music in Balloon Panic sounds like it is based on the Sonic Mania Act 2 tune.

I love this omg!!!
The only problem I see is that the boosting looks a bit visually jarring. The screen suddenly zooms out with special effects. Just looks a bit hard to react to the sudden speed. Not sure if I’m explaining right but overall this is awesome!

This is awesome, l always thought it was strange Sega never made Sonic Drift 1 and 2 on the game gear instead of the Mega drive, finally someone has filled that huge void inside me and it feels fantastic to be alive ! Thank you so much for making this a reality !
In some universe, Sonic drift was released for the Sega Genesis instead of the Game Gear, being an excellent and very fun game that managed to reach the level (or even higher) of Mario Kart

I first played this demo. Even though I'm suck at it, but I still have a good experience when playing this demo.
I haven't played the first title but I've played the sequel for countless hours (I still have my Game Gear cardtrige somewhere), so seeing this project brings a huge smile to my face.
I'll be sure to keep a close eye to this one (I can't wait to see levels like Rainy Savannah, Emerald Ocean or Milky Way getting the same treatment).
.P.S.: The Game Gear remixes are absolute 🔥by the way. ^^

Huh…it’s not _just_ a reenvisioning of the original, they also included content from 2 (weasel,metal and knuckles weren’t originally playable in 1)

This looks like it would most likely work on either a Sega 32X, a Sega CD or a Sega Saturn.
You know Sonic Drift seem to fit the Mega Drive more then Gamegear
I'm guessing that Sonic Drift 16-Bit is also a reimagining of Sonic Drift, instead of a remake, like Triple Trouble 16-bit was?
The trilogy:Sonic Drift,Sonic Drift 2 and Sonic Drift 16 bit! This project puts a nice spin on Super Mario Kart. I hope to recreate tracks and new ones too. Salvations from Brazil🇧🇷
That character select roster looks incomplete without an 8th character. Imagine if Trip was included(had she existed sooner in 1995). As 8 is a perfectly-balanced number. As all things should be.
Also, I hope to see character-specific items in the near future. Amy’s hearts or Fang’s corkscrew shot, etc There’s potential for there to be some really unique effects when getting hit by them. Amy’s heart could reverse controls for example.

There is something off with the depth and perspective, the scale of the characters seem a bit too big when they are far away from the camera and smaller when they are near it.
Ok wait so....Noah did triple trouble and sonic drift.....does anyone think he would do sonic the fighters cause that would be boss as hell!!! I know there is sonic the fighters blitz but I would love to see how he would make it!!!

The game’s sound design is a tad quite. The cars could use some engine noises while they’re driving.
Espio, Vector, Charmy, Mighty, Ray, Mecha Sonic Mk. 1 and Mk. 2 should become unlockable characters for this fan-game if/ when it gets fully developed.
