Im having the same issue with my jeep right now. DIY project in my driveway. I had the same thought about welding them on but i dont have a welder. Im not 100% convinced that the two bolt points will keep it in place permanently. Your thoughts?

I’m pretty confident that it will stay in place.

I have had a couple WJs with almost nothing holding the springs in and they still didn’t fall out.
Dorman makes fairly decent products and I do know that they put a lot of R&D into this product.

@quadscrib229 the only thing holding mine in is the bolt point for the stabilizer bar. It caught up on it on the way out.

Damn. I would try to get it welded on but we are quite confident that the shock mount and stab bar mount is sufficient to hold it in place.

I'm in the middle of finishing an engine and transmission build for my WJ powertrain swap, when I was pulling the stock transmission I noticed the driver's side front perch has started to come apart. The rubber that was once around it seems to have disappeared too, I definitely will be using the info you give us here to get some parts and do some work.

@@trakkerp4202That’s awesome! Anything is better than the stock engine in these.
Mine has been rolling with a 6.0LS, 4l80, and 242hd but it’s getting a LSX 454 as we speak.
Though not an LS you’re doing you should check out LS swapped WJ Facebook page for inspiration.

@@hertza I personally haven't seen any repair methods for that issue. I havent had any issues with that part on any of my WJ's. Might have to cut the perches off another vehicle in junkyard and weld them to yours.
also again thanks for watching. What country are you in?
